Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Anniluvs--I finished my second PIFM book this month Scandal of the Year (Abandoned at the Altar, #2) by Laura Lee Guhrke and liked it--great characters! Thanks for the recommendation.

Vi | 2794 comments Hi Gigi! I've been meaning to post for sometime but I kept forgetting. I finished It Happened One Wedding (FBI / US Attorney, #5) by Julie James -I really enjoyed it. Sure, it had some negative points but that didn't really detract my enjoyment of the book.

I also finished A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux - you and Dee were right. It was good. I really liked it. The ending was a little wishful but I've a similar ending in Fushigi Yûgi The Mysterious Play, Vol. 01 Priestess by Yuu Watase manga. I haven't read this author before. Would you recommend any other book of hers?

Thanks for the push, Gigi.

message 304: by Gigi (new)

Gigi | 1149 comments You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's one of my favorites. If you enjoyed the time travel aspect, try Remembrance. Not as good as KISA, but very entertaining. I haven't read that many of JDs books, but I've enjoyed the ones I have. I like her writing style and sense of humor.

Grace | 1730 comments Hi Elizabeth!
June has been a crazy month and I haven't been able to do as much reading as I wanted to. I just finished Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison and really loved it. Thanks for the great pick! I'm a third of the way through Wicked Burn by Beth Kery and am still planning on reading one more.

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 1058 comments HI Fran,

I finished The Spider (Elemental Assassin, #10) by Jennifer Estep on 6-25-14. I loved the peak back into Gin's early years.

I finished Motorcycle Man (Dream Man, #4) by Kristen Ashley early this morning and loved it! I'm definitely going to be reading more of Ashley's books.

I read the first few pages of Her Mad Hatter (Kingdom, #1) by Marie Hall a couple weeks ago and then it got pushed to the side. I finished it last night and really enjoyed it. I will definitely be reading more of Marie Hall's books in the future.

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 1058 comments I really wanted to read more of them, but June was a busy month for me. Just means I added to my TBR :)

UnusualChild{beppy} | 1282 comments hi, ty

i just wanted to say thank you again for my picks. i ended up reading only 2 of your recs, because time just slipped away from me somehow. i read Fifth Grave Past the Light, which had the usual charley zaniness, so thank you. i also read Archer's Voice, which i really, really liked. i think it was my only 5 star read this month. the H was so sweet and strong, and so was the h.

Courtney Milan is a wonderful writer! I like how smart she writes...she isn't afraid to insert some "issues" into her stories! So glad to hear you are enjoying it!!

Grace | 1730 comments Hi Elizabeth!
Just finished Raising Kane (Rough Riders, #9) by Lorelei James and I really enjoyed it. I am going to finish Wicked Burn by Beth Kery , but probably won't finish it today. I also will be reading No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole and When Beauty Tamed the Beast (Fairy Tales, #2) by Eloisa James in July for the M&G challenge. I hope you find something you like. I don't really read m/m so I didn't stray too far from the bigger names. If you need me to try again, just let me know.

Something Old...

Hey KarenF! Thank you so much for my picks this month. Trying to finish up last months challenges I had already planned to read The Devil's Brew and Armed & Dangerous before the month was out and both were fabulous! For this month though I did manage to get Glitterland to fit in. I don't know that I would have ever gotten around to it without the push, I just had this subtle resistance going. In the end I'd give it 4.5 stars. I really enjoyed it so thank you for getting me to read it finally. :D

~KarenH~ | 11353 comments Hey Grace!

I finished one more of your picks, Lion and the Falcon, and really enjoyed it - the humor in that series is so over the top I kind of have to be in the right mood for it, and fortunately I was this time. I didn't manage to finish it until this morning, so it really doesn't count for the challenge, though. Oh, well, it was still a lot of fun. Thanks for all the great picks!

I'm glad you enjoyed your picks! I understand what you mean with Eve Langlais, and being in the right mood. Sometimes I really enjoy her books, and other times not so much.

message 325: by Carla (new)

Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Anniluvs--I've been away and couldn't post but did finished Unraveled (Turner, #3) by Courtney Milan , by 3rd PIFM book on June 29th, and really liked it. Thanks for the recommendation.

MountainKat | 31610 comments So sorry I haven't done any updating or stats! Life has been crazy, but I will hopefully get some time this weekend and get this month all wrapped up!

message 327: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31610 comments Abbreviated stats for June

We had 49 participants, with 36 reporting they completed the challenge by reading at least one of their picks. That gives us a completion percentage of 73% - pretty darn good for a busy month! Looks like there were lots of great books read too! I hope you all had fun!

Again, I apologize for not getting this done sooner!
