What are your writing and reading plans this summer?

Are you going to have any holiday time to write? What books are you looking forward to reading in the sun?

I'll have time to finish The Last of the Mohicans, which I started so long ago!

And I'll write a lot (I hope ^^), because I'm so late on my schedule. I hope to publish volume 2 of my heroic fantasy series in French and two gothic novellas in English. Hopefully, I'll have finished the translation of volume 1 of the heroic fantasy saga.

Voilà!

How about you? When can we finally read A Dance With Fury? :P

Got lots on your plate Sandrine. WoW! That should keep you occupied for a bit. :P

Me, I want to make a dent in my 'to read' list. Anything else will be like icing on the cake. ;)

J. David Clarke (clarketacular) | 418 comments Writing: will be working feverishly to finish TIME LOST and then move on to short stories or one of many long projects. I've been saying next up would be my fantasy series but who knows where my brain will take me. Stupid brain.

Reading: the millennium series by Stieg Larssen is my current read, next will be The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman then probably Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen R. Donaldson. Whew!

Hi Sandrine,
I love Last of the Mohicans. In fact I've just gone back and read the first book in the Leatherstocking series, Deerslayer. I plan to read them all in the corect order now.

James

@ G.G., yes, that's a lot ^^ The two gothic stories are already written; they're being proofread/edited at the moment. And I've already started my novel in French.

@ James, I'm reading Fenimore Cooper because I'll soon write a paper about his novel for my studies. I'm at about fifty pages from the end, but I really love it. I'll read the other books in the series as soon as I've finished this one.

@Sandrine, I hope to release as soon as I can but that looks to be in autumn I think :] I'm hoping to write two more novels in that time this summer :3

I'm glad everyones going to be so busy ^^

message 8: by Carl (new)

Carl I'll keep on with stories and reading novels. I'm fortunate to soon participate in a novel editing course so I might rehab an ms. penned when I didn't know how to write fiction. Good times.

Brittany Willows (brittanymwillows) My writing plans are to get the first draft of my second novel finished so I can edit it all the way through until December, and also maybe get some short stories on the go here somewhere along the way. c:

As for reading, I have about five books sitting unread between my physical and digital shelves. Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff, and a bunch of Halo books. Hoping I can find a bit of time to get those finished! :D

message 12: by Jevon (new)

Jevon Knights (jevonknights) I want to finish my collection of short stories, get some of them posted on short story websites, do some more guest posting articles, and get my first novel professionally edited.

And I want to start reading Spacewolf.
