A and Skyril, your stories were . . . amazing! Everything flowed nicely and it was neat and tidy! Loved it.
C'mon people! Post those stories! : )

I hope most of you will be able to write something for our Decemeber competition (yes, and we will have one :D). The themes should be lots of fun for you!
Ugh, I've got NO ideas for this month's competition. :-/
Okay, so maybe I already asked this (I don't remember if it was for this group or YBW), but is there a word min/max for this competition?

Hmmm. Yes, there is. The word limit is 1000 - 6000 words. :D I want to keep them not too long and not too short.
You could write about some characters you have made up, or are currently writing about, and add in a little short story.

Ooh, I thought about that at first. Kind of like you did with Winter's Place. I figured I could start getting into the heads of Mirabella and Sabina, my two mermaids, but then I kind of came up short with underwater Christmas ideas...so, I sort of just started writing to see what happened. Well, now I've got nearly 3000 words and I'm not sure how I feel about them. It needs a little editing before I submit it and it's definitely one of the weirdest things I think I've ever written, but...I don't know, maybe it's not so bad? We'll see, I guess. I'm just glad to finally have something to contribute! XD Course, I still can't come up with a good title to save my life!!! I should hire a professional title-comer-upper-wither.

Is the other entry going to relate to the one you already posted?

. . . Which is why I wrote it, because I was attached to the characters too!!! Thanks, Skyril!

@Lorien both? I would like to write one like a fast forward of the story I wrote and another that is completely unrelated.
You can only post one entry as a whole for the writing competition. And you would have write them so they were relating. You can't post two or more entries which have nothing to do with one another either. : )
So, I'm reading through the monthly entries for April, and I was wondering if I could request an edited version of Zandraga's story...? I don't mean that to sound harsh or rude, but I stopped reading after the third curse word.
I noticed after the fact that I have curses in my story as well. I'm not sure how many. If it bothers you guys, please let me know and I'll edit.

I know! We've never had this much participation!! I'm trying to read through the entries now so I will have time to get through them all before the voting. Oh! And I think I finally decided what I'm going to post as my entry, so I'll have to do that too.

Thanks for being so flexible! I know we have a lot of younger members who would appreciate it as well.
Personally, I don't mind made up swear words or the implication of swear words, or even the occasional "real" swear word, but at a certain point, I feel like it shows a lack of creativity and vocabulary. There shouldn't be so many that they become an eyesore, if you know what I mean. I do not mean this in any way to insult any of the writers here. I'm just opening the floor up for discussion.

Well, I just finished reading Skyril's Message in a Bottle. I must say I am absolutely blown away! Goosebumps and speechless and tears and smiles! That was an amazing story Skyril!!! You drew me in and I don't think I drew breath through most of it. The imagery and story and characters were all...just beautiful. Breathtaking entry!!!!!

What noooo totally didn't stay up to see results
Nope

I'm sorry I didn't vote on the poll this time... Some stuff going on for me in real life, but I was really pleasantly surprised yesterday when I saw the announcement. It was a really nice time to get some good news.
Thank you all for the congrats <3
The story grew from a prompt I read one time that was something like, "If you wrote a message in a bottle, what would it say? What would the person who picked it up think?"
... I'm paraphrasing, but something like that. First I thought about it literally, but I had the prompt jangling around in the back of my mind for a few days, and then bam! this short story happened. It just goes to show what a hopeless romantic I can be ~rolls eyes at self~

I'm totally and forever a hopeless romantic!! XD I really like the idea of that prompt. I may have to see if I can come up with anything for it. Thanks for the idea! And, I hope you're feeling better. I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. :-/ I know I'd miss mine if anything happened to her.

In reply to Trey on the May writing competition: I actually didn't see it at first, but I think I could actually write a long story out of that! Thank you Trey, cause I wouldn't have thought of it myself ^·^

No problem! I honestly read the entire story and was visualizing how you could turn this into a much larger project. Can't wait to read!
