Harry inadvertently gets FBI Agent Milton on film abusing Lawton Cross and uses it as leverage during the case. At the time, it created enormous sympathy for Cross. What were your feelings about this after learning of Cross' involvement in the case and role in FBI Agent Marty Gessler's abduction and death?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I don't care if he was guilty of killing Marty Gessler, the FBI didn't know that and was abusing him to get information from him. He could have just as easily been innocent.

I was very sympathetic to Cross at the time and thought Milton deserved to be fired. Even after Cross' involvement was exposed, I still thought Milton a very bad agent. What he did was cruel and inhuman, especially since he was unaware that Cross was evil. However, I later didn't feel so sorry about Cross, though.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Milton definitely deserved to get fired. Nothing excuses his behavior and he epitomizes those in law enforcement who use their badge in order to carry out their sadistic tendencies.

That said, once the truth about Cross's involvement was revealed, I dis think that his paralysis was poetic justice for what he did to Marty. Karma is a b*tch! Lol!
