I ordered Taming the Vampire about the same time :-)

I've usually got to check which stories are in them against my lists cause I've frequently got a lot of them then I've got to weigh up do I need it & the price.

I can understand your hesitation with regard to box sets of a series, or part of a series, especially if the sets are expensive. But, a box set of books by different authors, for $.99 or $1.99 is a good, fairly inexpensive way to sample an author and/or series. Also, I have found that sometimes it is a very inexpensive way to get a story or novella in a series I have already started or wanted to try. Sometimes you just pay $.99 or $1.99 for several books when it costs much more for just one of the individual books in the set.

I have to do the same thing because it is very easy to end up with duplicates. That is one of the reasons I am happy I snatched up Taming the Vampire. It has new stories/novellas by several authors from series I already read.

Sometimes they are like novellas where it is essentially a short story but sometimes they are closer to novels.
I like them because of the price and I feel like I can read new authors.
I was wondering if anyone reads these and if they have any recommendations for ones which are a great value.
