Hello everyone, I am glad that you are joining me for the November book club selection! My name is Kathryn and I will be leading our discussion this month.
We are reading the book "Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging" by Sebastian Junger. In Tribe, Sebastian explores the tribal lifestyle and its draw for Western Society. Using examples from history and modern society, including the American Indian and soldiers returning from war, Sebastian seeks to explain what we can learn from tribal societies and how we can become a stronger group.
I hope that you enjoy reading the book this month and I am looking forward to discussing it with you. Please feel free to share your thoughts and respond to any question that is posted!
For anyone that may have already started the book, do you have any initial thoughts? Do you feel you have ever longed to be part of a tribe or group?
