Your thoughts on the prolouge and chapters 1-5

Somehow I get "The 5th Wave" vibes; the whole "camp for teenagers who lost everything and now we're ganna keep them locked for their own safety"-thing feels so familiar.
Also, I still don't know much about Ruby and I stuggle to get a defined picture of her. The characters are still a little bit flat, but that might change while the story develops.

I totally agree that it kind of reminds of The Fifth Wave and I really hope it's not turning just as crappy in the end.
I like the world so far, even though I would like to know a bit more about the reaction of the parents/the people in general.
I don't really know what to think of Ruby as well.
She seems like a character that has a lot of potentiol for development and I really hope we will see in in the book (because right now she is not really likeable
