I bought this one back in October. Now I just have to find it! LOL I've been going through all my books to give away to the used book store, my daughter, or whatever and I've misplaced this one. I'll find it though and read it with you girls.

Do you know what book that movie is based on, if any?

I could be wrong, but I think it's not based on any particular book. The original screen play was just released, though. In case you haven't seen it, here it is .

I also started Six of Crows and so far I'm loving it. I'm in the beginning of part two and I will probably write more comments after I finish reading it. May take a while for me to do that because I must study for a language acquisition exam for the next two days. I will get there though, slowly but surely. :D

Finally finished reading part 2 and here are some of my comments:

PART 1 & PART 2

So far (view spoiler)[ the story has been interesting. I like all the main characters and hope to learn more about them as the story progresses. It's pretty hard to choose favorite characters at this point but I guess Kaz, Inej and Nina would be at the top of my list. :D (hide spoiler)]

I wonder if (view spoiler)[ Wylan will be useful for the crew later. Everyone keeps saying he is useless, but I bet he has some skill that will prove extremely important during the mission. It will also be interesting to see, whether Matthias will try to sabotage the mission once they get to Ice Court. (hide spoiler)]

I would like to know (view spoiler)[ how Pekka Rollins found out about the crows' mission. His name makes me laugh every time because Pekka is one of the most common male names in Finland and you just don't see Finnish names in any other books but Finnish books. But who knows, maybe Pekka is used in some countries too. (hide spoiler)]

PART 3 & PART 4

So, (view spoiler)[ Jesper is a grisha. How cool is that! Definitely didn't see that coming. (hide spoiler)]

Finally (view spoiler)[ we got to know why Kaz hates Pekka Rollins so much. I wonder what he's gonna do now when he found Pekka in the cell at the Ice Court. I don't think he's just gonna kill him there. Oh, and it was nice to see that Kaz has his weaknesses. He's not as tough as he pretends to be. (hide spoiler)]

Oops, (view spoiler)[ the mission at the Ice Court went wrong fast. They hardly got started and they're already in trouble. It will be interesting to see, how the crew will handle the situation. (hide spoiler)]

Oh my god, I completely forgot to write here my thoughts on parts 5 & 6. Well, here they are:

I did like (view spoiler)[ the ending of this book. I think it's great that many issues stayed unresolved and unexplained. Can't wait to see how the story will continue in Crooked Kingdom. (hide spoiler)]

I found (view spoiler)[ the escape from the Ice Court a little...I don't know...unbelievable. It wasn't probably Kaz's greatest idea to jump into an underground river without knowing, when they would able to surface. I think they were counting on luck a bit too much here. (hide spoiler)]

I'm eager to see (view spoiler)[ whether Kaz will eventually get his revenge on Pekka Rollins. I also want to find out whether Nina became addicted to jurda parem and if she did, how they are going to save her. (hide spoiler)]
