Adam Sowa | 227 comments Going to be quite an interesting multi-group meeting coming-up for "Reclaim Chicago" ( http://www.reclaimchicago.org/ ) this Saturday: Lots to discuss.

Reclaim is trying to do canvassing every week; not just do canvassing during election cycles, as to keep people constantly focused on the issues that need addressing.

Issues I brought up at last week's local meeting:
"How do we get people motivated?"
"How do we keep them going after that door closes?"
"Instead of just a short talk and hand over a flyer/card , what would we need to put on that flyer/card that would provoke, motivate and keep attention?"
"Maybe ask, at the door, what on the flyer/card is their main interest, and what they would like to see done?'
"How to convince/encourage people to talk to their neighbors?"

With the outcome of the US election: This is going to be quite a game plan change. Though truthfully either outcome would have required increased effort, in their respective complexities.

Any thoughts?

Ideas?

If/does anyone else here do any canvassing?

Welcome the input.
