Lisa Mcfetridge Can anyone speculate on why for about 1 minute in the book (in the doctor's office when the baby is crawling) time moves FORWARD? the narrator notices the baby crawling forward, and then it is over and time continues marching in reverse.

This book really fascinated me. I found myself compensating by moving ahead in the book and reading conversations backwards.

Grace =^_^= I read this last year, and I don't recall the baby scene. I do remember really enjoying the novel and finding it absolutely fascinating. It definitely took getting used to, since we were reading "backwards."

Paul Brilliant book, very clever. Maybe the baby in the surgery was actually crawling backwards. My year old twins are just starting to crawl and the reverse bum shuffle is a favourite manoeuvre!

Paul check out this review, I thought it was quite insightful.

Lisa Mcfetridge great review! great book. it's one of those books that will always stay with me. it's been a while since i read it but will never forget the intelligence and work that went into the construction of the book.
