No one, actually! But I figure it was the 2014 Amazon Book of the Year, and it's been a big hit for a few years now, I'm sure quite a few authors have blurbbed it and recommended it, maybe one of your favorite authors. It's worth a shot! You kind of have to dig around.

I did a little googling ... authors who have reviewed and/or said nice things about it include:
Alexander Chee
Clea Simon
Mark Lawson

I'm sure there are more.

Laura (piggyb73) | 36 comments I read a book called the lost girls. It was a girl reading a journal from a different time. Would that count?

I'm guessing the book does have the journal in the text too? If so, absolutely.

Betty Q Does The Glass Castle work for this? I’ve just started it, but I see it starts out in present day and flashes back to her childhood. I’m struggling with this prompt and time is winding down.

Ooh, me too! I didn't even think about this book (also known as 'My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She's Sorry') when I came to this thread looking for ideas. Thanks!

Tara Bates | 1008 comments I am read the magpie Murder and I am annoyed that I can't accurately track my progress because the page numbers aren't linear and constant

Anshita (_book_freak) | 268 comments I wanted to read The Brothers Karamazov for this prompt, but after reading It I've no intention of reading long books for a while now. So I will focus now a relaxed and not a usual choice for me, The Princess Bride.

I don't think so.
