Debbie (debbie13410) | 15 comments I am reading the nonfiction book "Empty Mansions" by Bill Dedham . It is about a 104 yr old woman who for 60yrs paid for the upkeep of several mansions but she never once visited them. Mr Dedham stumbles on this story and decides to write the story of multi millionaire WA Clark, whose daughter is the 104 yr old woman we meet in present day.

I just finished I Found You by Lisa Jewell, and really enjoyed it, a real page turner. It takes place in 1993 and 2015.

message 159: by Collin (new)

Collin (midnightaster) | 6 comments Does anyone think Midnight At the Electric would work for this? It takes place in three different time periods. Is that a disqualifier or is that, I don't know, some kind of superfluous bonus? :P

I read this prompt as "two OR MORE time periods" so in my opinion, three works.

Jess (theanswerisno) I just finished Spoonbenders, ('70s and '90s) and loved it!

James Hill (jamesmikeal) | 2 comments Jamie Ford's Love and Other Consolation Prizes fits this.

message 163: by Malaraa (new)

Malaraa 'Round Midnight, while divided into 4 parts, does form one story altogether. There is a time jump between each POV switch, for those looking at this prompt, and at least one character is present from about 20-21-ish until advanced old age, which I feel is close enough for the advanced list prompt of covering a character's lifespan. :)

Angela Kocheshkova (my-irrelevant-self) i recommend The Alchemist by Donna Boyd. such a great book!!
btw, also counts for a story within a story and unreliable narrator

Pioup | 54 comments Has anyone read A Closed and Common Orbit? It' in my TBR ans there are two POV storyline and I think one takes place before the other but I'm not sure. (5 books and a half to go!)

Well, in case someone else is wondering: it works for the prompt. (And I really enjoyed it!)

Anshita (_book_freak) | 268 comments I've decided to read Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough. This book has a lot of polarizing reviews, well, I'll only know how good the book is after I've read it.
