Lady Seaton was a curious woman. Were you surprised to learn what she knew about Emily and Lord Seaton? Was she ever on your suspect list?

For the longest time, I suspected that she might have hired someone to kill Emma or someone close to her committed the crime without her knowledge. In the end, she turned out to be the prototype for gentlewomen who have to endure an awful arranged marriage. No wonder so many chose to remain unmarried after their husbands' deaths. They were liberated.

So true. Both for her and Weston's wife, who was so hopefully looking forward to her husband's death.

Lady Seaton was never on my suspect list. Looks can be deceiving but she just didn't seem the type to be capable of murdering a young woman whose only "crime" was a genetic link beyond her control or choice.

She was so serene, maintaining that public facade. It made me suspicious.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments The idea of a woman crossed my mind, but I didn't seriously suspect either one of this murder.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments The only woman I suspected was Agnes. She was the type of woman who would blame a victim of rape for "seducing her rapist".

Liv Weston and Lady Seaton were never on my radar mainly because I could not see either one of them killing Emma. Both could well have killed their husbands whom they despised, but they would not have blamed Emma for a "sin" that was no fault of hers.

Yes, I could see either one of them doing this too.

Mary Beth | 193 comments I thought she was a suspect and it was going to be a twist with her being different than what she showed herself to be and it was going to be a big surprise. I thought she going to be the monster killing all of those girls.

Joanna | 139 comments She was at the top of my suspect list.

Jasmine | 40 comments Like Lauren, I suspected Agnes. I was trying to remember if there was a physical description of her which made it seem like she was a big enough person to have committed the suffocation.
