Trinity | 81 comments Yeah, I've voted for "don't look now and other stories" but changed my mind afterwards. What did you vote for?

Micah Castle (micahcastle) | 1645 comments You can really read any genre you want and still write horror.

message 7: by Trinity (new)

Trinity | 81 comments That's true, but it's good to get experience in the genre

Quantum (quantumkatana) Trinity- totally agree that some way you have to become knowledgeable in the genre you want to write in. Reading in that genre seems to be the tried and true method. I'm working on a horror story for nanowrimo.

I'm raring lovecraft's Tale of Cthulhu and although it's kind of a slog, it is the basis for its meme and it is quite an idea. I voted for The Willows b/c it has a lot of affinity w/lovecraft. I read a few pages on the train this Morgan's it flows well.
