Yes, I agree. What a rough start for our main couple and what a way to start a book! The house sounds so beautiful. I would love it and of course I would bring plenty of books! I liked the claw marks she found on the door and the howling she heard was a nice play on the title. They are definitely not alone! I stopped at ch4.

I agree about the house. Sounds like the perfect place to get a bunch of reading done - I guess until the werewolf shows up, of course...

Had a late start on this book yesterday. Made it to ch7. Prob won't get any reading done today. Happy Thanksgiving!

I read two more chapters so I'm at ch10 now, and I'll stop there.

In ch9, I did have to laugh (view spoiler)[ at the descriptions that were used when Roy was at Marcia's store, that she had 'strong' teeth and 'well-shaped' fingers, lol. Of course those would have been the very things he would have noticed (not even sure what well-shaped fingers or strong teeth would look like)... (hide spoiler)]

Another super busy day but I will try to read to ch 10 at least.

Ch7, ok, I have a confession to make, lol. I've actually read this book before about 3 years ago but I enjoyed it so much I don't mind rereading it. Plus, I read it on the kindle and having the physical book makes it new for me. I gotta say that this book is way better the second time around. I love how Inez said that if u believe in god, you have to counter believe in Satan. Couldn't agree more. Also when she says she believes there is a werewolf in Drago. I tried deciding how I wud feel if someone told me this and I gotta say, I wud prob believe her.

Good to know, Addy (at least I can't spoil it for you!). I think you made the right choice on the physical book, too. I should have guessed you'd pick that one since it didn't have the movie tie-in pictures on the back. I agree with what Inez is saying, too. I do think I'd have a hard time buying it though if someone were trying to convince me of a werewolf. Maybe with enough evidence...

I haven't read any yet today. I have the kindle book. I've never read it before but I've seen the movie.

So is that Howling III? I don't know what the sequels or the third Howling is about. Is it really about Australia?

Wikipedia says the book is USA only.

Well I certainly enjoy that cover!

I looked around a little, and I guess that is the movie version of The Howling III, however it has very little to do with the third Howling book in the trilogy according to reviews. I guess there were 8 different movies (I had no idea there were that many! I've only seen the first), but only the first has a storyline matching the books.

I think she is (view spoiler)[ she sure seemed to be popping a lot of them when the hikers were there, and I think part of that may have been avoided if Roy had been around. I agree that it's not an uncommon reaction for her to act like that finding the dogs remains. That would be rough. I can't quite figure Chris out - he sure has bolted back to LA pretty fast both times he was there (of course he wasn't treated well that last time). (hide spoiler)]

I think you guys are ahead of me. If I saw a big wolf in my front yard, I'd be getting my ass out of there! This movie is the reason werewolves scared me to death until I was almost 20! I'm at the part where Inaz is showing her the newspaper clippings & they are going to town to look for an 1 eared person! Brave ladies!!

I agree, Latasha, the second the wolf was gone, why would anybody stick around - and I think you mean crazy ladies!

It's been a few years since I read these, but I'm pretty sure 99% of that village changes, and that other 1% are well aware of what their neighbors are. It would be really hard to *not* be aware that your town is mostly a specific group of beings.
