At the beginning of the story, Tully muses that he's glad he doesn't have to stay overnight at Gwen's, preferring his independence. What did you make of this?

Phrynne | 607 comments I wonder a lot about Kava's own lifestyle. She sure hates any of her characters to commit:)

You know, Phrynne, the same thought occurred to me. So much so that I explored her biography. She attended a small, all-girls college and never married. I don't mean this in a mean-spirited way but I think that's why her romantic relationships in these stories suffer from arrested development. This stuff just doesn't make sense for people over 35-years old.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments When I read that I cringed. I figure his relationship with Gwen is going to stall soon. (Not that we've actually seen much of their relationship.)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments That's an interesting point about Kava's own life and how it is affecting her characterization. All of the characters seem to have commitment issues.

I cringed, too.
