Did you report it to Goodreads? They don't allow this kind of stuff.

This "agent" is just looking for naive writers to funnel into a vanity press :(

I checked, and it's a vanity press which allows you to choose 'publishing packages'. If anyone is interested, that's fine. But it's over $1000, so beware :(

GR can't monitor every post; gentle self-policing by members is required. They've thanked me when I've reported similar things.

They may not agree with you - but you've done what you can.

You don't have to tell GR every little bit - they will make their own determination - and they don't hold it against you in any way.

There may be places for offers of services, but when someone pretends to be a reviewer, they're fishing for prey.

Just to clarify, I think this person is claiming to be a literary agent, who, normally would be independent and would try to interest publishing houses in MSS. In this case they seem to be directly connected with TamaRe. To be fair, that is fairly obvious, just the wording of the post is a little disingenuous,

A little? You can tell by careful wording, and how long it takes you to figure out what's going on, that something is deliberately misleading.

And literary agents don't advertise; they're already overwhelmed with submissions.

Agents also NEVER ask for money/to be paid! They make their money over a cut of what deal they get you with a publishing house. The money always flows FROM agent to YOU - never the other way round!

Any agent who says different is NOT an agent per se!

I also found this post suspicious and checked the TamaRe page - then the mere mention of Paid packages had me shaking my head as it is a vanity outlet and not a true publishing house.
