It's the end of the month: choose one favourite!

Remember to share everything over in the What are you reading? thread and just your favourite book of the month here.

Favourite read was Blood Rites (The Dresden Files, #6) by Jim Butcher by Jim Butcher. I'm definitely carrying on with the series.

I've been trying to read one a month this year. Obviously unsuccessfully as I've just finished the 6th book.

message 8: by Ivan (new)

Ivan (walking_disaster) It's been good month. I had 3 new editions to favorites shelf, Heir of Novron, Monsters of Men and The Buried Giant, but out of those 3 I would single out The Buried giant as the best one but hardest one to recommend especially to those who haven't read other Ishiguro's works before.

Bill | 2150 comments The Last Stormlord by Glenda Larke. Pretty original and interesting world she built for this one.

Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files: Wild Card

message 16: by Andy (new)

Andy | 34 comments This was my favorite read this month. It won't actually be released until next year but I met the author and got a signed ARC at New York Comic Con last month. Well worth checking out once it's released!
The Bear and the Nightingale

His Majesty's Dragon was another book I picked up at NYCC. Met Naomi and got a signed copy. I haven't started it yet, glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Andy | 34 comments Yeah, this was my first Comic Con and turned out to be a really great opportunity to meet SFF authors and get signatures. I didn't even have time to meet all the authors I wanted to. I'll definitely be going again next year and will be doing a multi-day pass this time.
