I hate this book.... That's a lie but I meant it when I wrote it.
I could not enjoy the book, cause I kept waiting for Holden to mess up.
It seams like he practiced his whole life to narrate a book.

Yea, far from my favorite.

Camille (camillesbookishadventures) I think this one is hit or miss. It's one of my favourites! I read it at 16, so was clse in age to Holden, I think it helped.

I am intrigued by this book. Holden is his own worst enemy, and I also feel sorry for him because his parents have given up on him. They send him from boarding school to boarding school to various therapists but don't get at the root of his problem. The parents do not know just how much he suffered and is still grieving the love of his brother. The fact that he looks older than his age doesn't help.
That being said, I would not want to hang around with him because he would drive me crazy.
