Finished my first book of the year! It was supposed to be for December's holiday movie classics challenge, but due to the holidays I wasn't able to finish it in time.

Updated my original post. I'm currently reading Gods Behaving Badly.

Finished Gods Behaving Badly and am now back to working on ダンガンロンパ/ゼロ 1 Danganronpa/Zero 1 .

Updated OP. I'm now working on The Iliad and the Odyssey and since it's over 700 pages, I'll read some other books at the same time. For now that will be Coraline.

Okey doke, finished Coraline. Still planning what else to read while working on the Iliad and the odyssey!

Updated my original post. Going to work on finishing the Iliad, and then I think I'll read the Song of Achilles.

Man, sometimes things get hard. Updating my OP. I really hope things can go well so I can complete my 30 books.

Also, I'm reading several books right now. I've been slowly reading Apollo and am still working on the Iliad, and I started The Bell Jar and am also just looking through The Herb Book: The Most Complete Catalog of Herbs Ever Published.

I updated my OP with The Song of Achilles. Dear lord, what an amazing read. Despite how sad it made me, I'm so glad I read it.

Now, I'm almost finished with The Moth Diaries.

i made it! i finished my 30 book challenge for the year. i didn't think i was going to be able to get my hands on my tokyo ghoul books, but my library offered them in ebook format so i read them that way. i'm going to continue reading them until i'm all finished.

i'm still tossing around leaving it or upping it or even lowering it, honestly. i know the reason why i managed to reach my goal was because a lot of graphic novels which meant less reading for me, and i don't know how many of those i'll be reading next year... but i'm leaning towards keeping it at 30 for now.

There's no reason to change it if 30 is your magic number :) I honestly think that it's so important that everyone find that numerical goal that motivates you just enough, but doesn't stress you out :)
Whatever you decide, I hope you discover some great books and have fun :)
