Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments So, who's in?

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Meeeeeeeee! I was thinking about rereading the series.. but I guess I probably could go without since I just read it last year.

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments Me too. I was just reviewing the wikipedia entry for Cold Days, and it's all coming back to me....

Oh, first 5 chapters are on Butcher's website, if anyone doesn't want to wait until they get their copies: http://www.jim-butcher.com/posts/2014...

Laurel 6 chapters in and its already SO GOOD!

I have to be a damn adult and go to a choir concert with some absolutely lovely teacher friends. Is the fact that I'm looking for excuses not to go a sign I'm a petulant book addict?

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments I love this book! My reading slump is no more....

..at least, until I finish this.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Awesome. :D

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments I'm a little fuzzy on one of the characters that pops up in this book. (view spoiler). I remember the name, but I don't recall what he did before...

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments Great. Read those spoilers and I have no idea what you guys are talking about, haha. I think I might need a Dresden re-read before I read this one.

Just as soon as I finish my Robin Hobb re-read....

I'm never going to read a new book again :P

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments I might do a re-read before the next one, whenever that is. Not so much because I'm rusty as I just feel like running through it again would be cool.

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments My fiance is reading them all for the first time right now.. I can't remember which he's on but he keeps asking me questions and I have no idea what he's talking about.

I feel the same way. Did a re-read of Cold Days just before this one which worked fine but I think I just want to re-read them all at some point.

And for the record, I loved Skin Game!

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 2450 comments I was going to read Cold Days again too. My library has an audiobook of it. But it was checked out when I went by, so that didn't happen.

Yes, loved Skin Game too! Finished last night..

Laurel If Skin Game was his heist book, what will his next book be?

80's high school movie homage?

Seriously though I love the way that Jim Butcher is able to use the Dresden Files to tell a different "type" of story in each book but still continuing the overarching storyline and keeping all the characters consistent. It keeps each book feeling really fresh even after 15 of them. I can't wait to see where the series is going after this.

Laurel Oh, a twisted Dresden version of The Breakfast a Club would be sweet!

Paul Or Back to the Future. That would be awesome. Harry could make all the movie references and Butters definitely has Doc Brown hair in my mind! Plus, we know Harry has questions about his mother. The more I think about it, the more I like this idea :)

Laurel THAT IS GENIUS!!!

And they did mention time travel in this book...

Then everything is falling into place *rubs hands together*.

Mr Butcher needs to get onto this asap :)
