Ruth I absolutely loved the first book in this series. I thought Meg was a great character with a wonderful family and the book was very funny. I didn't enjoy the second book so much and I can't really put my finger on why that was - perhaps my expectations were too high.

I'd be interested to know how others get on with this series as I'd love to read more of them.

☯Emily Ginder | 1410 comments I started reading in the middle of the series and absolutely love the characters, the plots and the mysteries. I then read the first in the series and did not think it was a good as many of the later books. However, it is a good start for understanding the dynamics of the family.

Marilyn Slusher | 2 comments I finished the first book in this series. I loved the twists and turns in this mystery. I am always looking for a new series that is enjoyable to read. I am looking forward to reading the remaining books in this series.

This series has just what I am looking for in a cozy. The books are lighthearted and fun to read. I like the characters - Meg and her (often) zany family - and the way her life has developed through the series - from single to married to motherhood. There is no love triangle! And the puzzle/mystery is consistently intriguing. The clever titles are a bonus. I've read all the books in this series except the most recent one. It's in hardcover and I'm waiting for a price drop.

Mark Baker (carstairs38) | 1281 comments I've been reading this series for years and I still absolutely love it! I was a little disappointed with the first since I felt the mystery was weak, but I had tons of fun with the characters. I liked the second one better. Most people are the other way around; what can I say, I'm weird.

Still, this is such a fun series that delivers year after year.
