Edward Jamieson (edwardjamieson) | 127 comments My new novel Edge of End is ready - written and edited. But before publishing it I need some help and would like some beta readers.
Below you can find the brief synopsis of my book:
Jonathan wakes up in a desert, his past wiped from his head. He’s alone having no clue who and what he is, where he has come from and where he should go. There is only one way – forward when he spots a little town in the distance.
Empty streets, old houses, the town seems abandoned. There’s no one to ask for help, there’s nowhere to go. Jonathan wanders the town in search of any sign of life trying to bring his lost memories back, but odd visions haunt him from time to time. Soon Jonathan comes to the realization that he’s moments from death as absolutely evil dwells in the town seeking fresh souls to suck up. The seemingly dead town is only outwardly empty.
Grey skies, no sun, no days and no nights. The town is stuck in time. With only one entrance and one exit, but the way leading to the exit is filled with creations that Jonathan has never envisioned, even in his worst nightmares.
Who is he? Who brought him here? With a female resident – Elizabeth, Jonathan has to work his way through the horrendous town, figure out his past and find the exit.

If this has caught anybody's interest I'd be delighted to give the book to read and would like to hear opinions. Edge of End is complete at 59,000 words.
Please, write me here or send me a private message including your email address and I'll send the book.

Thank you for your time.

Elijah Clark (elijahclark) | 12 comments Hey, I don’t know if you would be interested or not, but I got a company to help beta review my book. I got readers and some good reviews that are now on amazon for it. It cost money, but it did help quality control the book.

The company is at http://www.buview.com/books

My book is called The Barista. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1622092...

Thanks

Elijah Clark (elijahclark) | 12 comments From what I saw is that it has multiple prices. They have verified users and uncertified users. Verified are the ones that have submitted photo ID. Non verified has not. The cost for verified is $50 per review/buview. Non verified is $25. I got 6 and 4. The cost was worth it because I got more reviews from this service than I did from handing out 100 free copies of my book in which I only got 2 reviews for. The buview was also better because i gave the readers a questionnaire to complete with their review. That helped the most because the readers found a lot of problems that I and my editors missed. And it let me know what people really think about my book. I gave the reviewers digital copies and it took between a week and 4 to finish things up.

Elijah Clark (elijahclark) | 12 comments Sorry, I just realized they have a half off deal going on right now. The prices I gave seem to be the real prices. I paid the half off prices.

Ju Ephraime (juephraime) | 186 comments So what you're saying Elijah $50 and $25 is half off?

message 8: by Elijah (new)

Elijah Clark (elijahclark) | 12 comments no problem Suren, just trying to help. i spent a lot of time and money on giving away books and trying to collect reviews and most of it was a waste. i even paid a few people at the beginning for readings and reviews and i could tell that they didn't really read it. because i got to give a questionnaire on buview i knew the readers read it. not only that, but i was able to get readers across the country versus just in the local area or a certain coast.

@Ju - its $50, but $25 with the discount. so you could get verified readers at $25 and i think the non verified discount was $10 per.
