Glad to hear you liked The Rocking Horse Winner. My sister sent me Daughter of Fortune after she read it so I assumed it was because she thought I would like it.

It is a trilogy: Daughter of Fortune, Portrait in Sepia, House of the Spirits. Enjoy!!!

Great choices Janet. I also plan to read The Beautiful and the Damned next year and a few of us are planning on a buddy read of All the Kings Men. Hopefully you can join too.

I have chosen "House of Spirits" as one of my reads and did not know there were accommodating reads!

Completed 23 out of 24 books. I may not get to "Inferno"(my 18th century or earlier selection) this year. My choice for classic non-fiction is possibly questionable because the narrator is fictional which puts the book in historical fiction status. However, sll the events presented are factual and researched so I think it fits the category.
