Megan Frazier | 10 comments Everyone has their idea of what it would be like if there happened to be a shooter at their school. At Opportunity High, the students are fully aware of how tragic it can be. When the student body gets locked in their auditorium with the staff and Tyler, the shooter, (pages 41-42) things get intense. Tyler is an old student from Opportunity high who dropped out before his senior year. He was just newly enrolled back into the school when he started firing his gun at teachers, and students. Tyler then kept the remaining students in the auditorium as captives. "Be as so kind as to lock this door," he said,(page 59) and as the poor student failed to move quickly, the student suffered a bullet through his shoulder as punishment. I don't know why he would do something so terrible or his reason behind doing this, but little does Tyler know, that his little sister is right there in that auditorium. "Dad always used to tell me, He has a hunter's grace, that boy, and the instincts and speed to match it." Somehow, I don't think this is what he intended." (Page 72) As Autumn thinks back on memories of her father, she feels as if she has to face Tyler and save the school.

What a horrifying situation! I can't imagine and hope never to experience. I read a book years ago called We Need to Talk about Kevin. It was about this mom writing letters to her absent husband about their son who has killed a bunch of students at school. It was so creepy.

Greta | 9 comments WOW, this is super gruesome! The irony that the school is called Opportunity High and Tyler dropped out before graduation is crazy. Autumn sounds like a brave soul. Facing the psycho with a gun definitely gets the "Hero Award" for the day.

Alex Rivera (Riveraa18) | 9 comments I feel like this book can get really intense at points, like really intense. I agree that a person shouldn't do something like this, and don't know why they would. Is he for real a psychopath, or has something happened to make him do this?

Cameron Meek | 8 comments yeah with all the possibilities that this somehow could actually happen today is very frightening that a student could if they wanted to just kill hundreds of people is just scary
