Please tell us about the edition you will be reading and share with us your review once the book finished :-)

Since this book is quite controversial, is there any interesting additional information in your edition?

Rachel | 30 comments Here's my brief review: 4 of 5 stars
The writing is witty and precise - staggeringly so at times - and the characters are sadly unforgettable, but I think he should have stuck to a short story or novella form because it sagged in the middle with all the detail about travelling around the US.

Thanks Rachel. I still dread reading it. I will skip it for now and start with Nella Larsen's fiction.

Samanta (almacubana) | 183 comments This book is just not for me. I skipped A LOT of pages and ended giving it a huge F. I do not have the slightest wish to open the book again nor find out why Bowie put it to his list. I'll agree to disagree with Bowie on this issue.
