I am looking for a book on Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate. Something accurate to their killing spree.

Any and all suggestions will be accepted. Thanks

Fishface | 18853 comments Redheaded Peckerwood takes the reader on a tour of the route of the killing spree, showing you the crime scenes, telling the details of the killings and even taking you inside some roadside Charlie and Caril Ann museums.

Fishface, I just checked with Amazon.ca and the hardcover book was $99. I don't know what is up with this Amazon but I have to use the CA one because our dollar is way lower then American dollar. I put it on my wish list. Probably when I check again it will have changed. ***sigh***

The library is my next call Fishface. I always have to wait for these paperbacks months after everyone has read them.

Fishface | 18853 comments I wait until they go down to 1 cent on Amazon. It can take years.

Shelley | 1225 comments I checked Open Library for a scanned copy and they don't have it either. :(

It will take a decade up here Fishface. That is always the problem.

Fishface | 18853 comments Of course the other issue with Chuck and Caril Ann is that they told 2 very different stories of how it all went down. How do we know which one is telling the truth?

message 10: by Shelley (new)

Shelley | 1225 comments I don't know much about this case but I do know about the conflicting versions of the story. What side to you come down on, Eileen?

Fishface | 18853 comments I really doubt that Caril Ann stayed in the house with the bodies of her entire family for days like that, then went out on a killing spree with her boyfriend unwillingly. I think she was loyal to him until he forced himself on Carol King, and that changed her tune.
