That being said, I am doing an open read. Please post what book/books you are reading and if possible, why. Also, reviews work great and we love to see what you think!

There will be a new BOM Nomination 12/18 for the New Year and Voting will start on Christmas, new BOM for January announced on 01/01/17!! Get your thinking caps on and let's see what happen this month!

Here is what I am currently reading:
Yellow Brick War (Dorothy Must Die, #3) by Danielle Paige - It is the third book in the "Dorothy Must Die" series and I was audio booking them and they are great audio books, but something happened with the library audio book system and I ended up getting the book, but now I got it fixed so I can audio book it again.
Here are my reviews of the first two books:
Dorothy Must Die: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The Wicked Will Rise: I did not written review, just gave 4 stars.

Fall from Grace by Elizabeth Davies - It is the fourth book in the "Saving Grace" series that the author requested I review. So far so good! I think this was, by far, one of the best series I have read in a while, when I first read it of course.
Here are my reviews of the first three books:
State of Grace: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Amazing Grace: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Sanctifying Grace: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Through the Zombie Glass (White Rabbit Chronicles, #2) by Gena Showalter - I started this as an audio book when the other book stopped working. Now I am 3 out of 11 discs in and I will pause because of the fact that Yellow is working. This is part of a four book set, I believe. So far is just kind of blah with a lot of the usual teenage angst. It almost mirrors Crescendo (Book 2 of the Hush, Hush series) with the bad boy pulling away and ignoring average girl with super powers. It is weird and I am starting to get over that drama.
Here is my review of the first book in the series:
Alice in Zombieland: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

That is it so far. What are you all reading?

amazingly I am so busy with Christmas I haven't even read a book in two weeks! ok Christmas Carol is getting a 're read and I might see if I can find any Christmas novellas to get me through December. ... which I will post up soon.
December we usually have off anyway so having an open read is an excellent idea norma!

OOO! it is an 18+, but Make A Wish a Christmas Encounters Novella by A.C. James is a good Winter/Christmas novella packet. Just a suggestion. I have read one of the two already, very juicy.

Does anyone else have any Christmas Novella recommendations?

My reading went to pot in November. It is moving back to the norm now. I was totally overwhelmed with real life so I totally get the miss, I didn't get a December or end of year challenge in either. I would love to see what others have planned for this month and see if real life lets them/us get to it.

I have two Netgalleys that I want to read and review.
Strange Magic (Yancy Lazarus #1) by James A. Hunter & Thirst (The Energy Vampires #1) by Jacquelyn Frank

After those my recommends
Mistress Christmas (Wild West Boys, #1) by Lorelei James Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, #1) by Lisa Kleypas My Lady Quicksilver (London Steampunk, #3) by Bec McMaster Lover at Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward

I'm 2/3rds through Lover at Last, which is much better than I thought it would be. Still she annoys me with the multiple plotlines that take away from the mian characters.

I'm loving the Imp series and already read
Demons of Desire (Half-Breed, #1) by Debra Dunbar Angel of Chaos (Imp, #6) by Debra Dunbar this month. I don't know if I want to read more or save them for when a need a fun read. Only 3 left and that includes one in the spin off series.

@Norma
The Falling Grace series looks good but also looks like you have to read all 3 as they go one into the next.

Which series is that?

Resurrection series? State of Grace, Amazing Grace, Sanctifying Grace, it seems like these go right into one another, or are they stand-alones?

They are a series, not stand alone. Sorry I did not respond, Goodreads never let me know you responded! State is 1, Amazing is 2, Sanctifying is 3, Fall is 4.

OK, I now remember why I stopped read the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I really like/love the characters and world but the multiple plot lines, and many of them not anything I care about, just drive me nutso.

So I got done with 2 of the recommends and 1/2 way through Thirst, which is not keeping me glued unluckily, not bad, just not riveting.

I ended up reading
Charming (Pax Arcana, #1) by Elliott James and really, really liking it. New series
and currently reading
Urban Shaman (Walker Papers, #1) by C.E. Murphy , which so far 1/2 way through is really, really good too. I've had it on my TBR pile for probably 10 years.
