The Mystery, Crime, and Thriller Group discussion

Looking for a new mystery author. Read all of Val McDermind, Michael Robotham, and getting caught up on Mark Billingham. Is Mina of similar style and what's a good starting point with her? Thanks.

I enjoyed Mina's series starring Paddy Meehan. I strongly suggest reading the series in order; the first is Field of Blood. I am also a Val McDermid fan and have some of Robotham's and Billingham's books, although I haven't read them yet, so it sounds like we may have similar tastes.

Denise Mina is brilliant! My first Mina was The End of the Wasp Season, but I would really recommend reading Garnethill to get a good feel for the author.
