Ellen B I think I've chosen all my books now. :)

Old school:
Les Misérables by Victor Hugo (1862)

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy (1865) Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky (1866) -- we'll see if I can pull off both of these in one year. That's why there's alternates, right?

New School:
My Brilliant Career by Miles Franklin (1901)
Rebecca by Daphne DuMaurier (1938)
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith (1943)

Others:
The Divine Conspiracy by Dallas Willard
Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry
Dances with Wolves by Michael Blake
Kindred by Octavia E. Butler
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (DNF)
Slumdog Millionaire by Vikas Swarup

Alternates:
The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens
The Little Prince by Antoine Saint-Exupéry

Ellen B Bump, bump, bump.

And I also DNF'd Outlander last month and didn't notate it here.

Wanted to start War and Peace this month, but as I already have another Russian novel going (Doctor Zhivago), I'd like to get that out of the way first.
