Historical Fictionistas discussion

The pre-islamic Persian empire on Rome's eastern border, where Zarahustrian was the main religion, Nestorian christians florished and jewish rabbis wrote the talmud in Babylon. The sasanids took over from the parthians in the 3rd century and ruled until the islamic invasion in the 7th century. Before the Sasanides, it was the parthians. Have any historical fiction been written set in this time and place, or should I write the first one?

The Parthians feature quite a lot in my first trilogy, which starts with The Forgotten Legion. The story follows the true account of legionaries who were taken prisoner after the battle of Carrhae in 53 BC.

Sasanids figure in the book I am writing. Now to get it done. Sigh.
