Devin Hampton | 12 comments Quinn is still on her assignment and the further into the assignment he is, the more she hangout out with Catalina’s boyfriend Isaac. Isaac’s friend Jason doesn’t know Catalina has died so he calls Isaac to have him and Catalina come over to his house (287). When they arrive, Isaac and Catalina quickly realize that Jason and his other friends at his house have realized that Catalina is not the real Catalina and is actually a closer (288). They then realize that Catalina’s best friend, Kyle is at Jason’s house who looks very sympathetic towards Isaac, but screams and punches Quinn in the face (290). This was striking to me because most of the other people who got so mad at Quinn for acting like Catalina either had a reason not to like her, like Angie, or they were mad because they didn’t like the idea of closers. The people who were close to Catalina treated Quinn with respect because they knew they needed her to get better, such as Isaac and Catalina’s parents, but Kyle switched gears when she talked to Quinn. I think this is because everyone said that Catalina had a dramatic change in her before her death, and Kyle could know why that change happened to her because she was her best friend, unlike her parents who don’t know the personal details of her life. This was a good point to add to the book on the author’s part because it makes you look more into why Catalina changed before her death and why Kyle’s reaction was different than others close to Catalina.

Olivia Barnes | 9 comments Sounds like he is mad at Quinn because he is mad at himself for what happened to Catalina. Maybe Catalina told him what was going and he didn't do anything about it. I am excited to see if later on in the book he will give away information.

Ally Dusanek | 8 comments I agree with Olivia on this, it would make complete sense that he was upset and the just took all of his anger out on Quinn! Is there a reason why Catalina's parents were never close with her though, or tis that just seem to be a mystery?

Katie Bean | 12 comments So is it socially acceptable to have a closer replace your family member or do most people frown upon it? this theme to this book really confuses me.
