Louise (wopsywoo) | 8 comments Set in the States, main location: large manor house. Inhabitants: 2 x half-breeds (vampires) who must feed or die, and whose existence must be kept secret. They are warrior fighters of some kind too, a military man--major or brigadier or something is the boss man (human) who has a kind of Moneypenny secretary. (the hint of boss man and Moneypenny sec getting together is strong but doesn't happen in either of the 3 books I read. The heroine in one (maybe Jessie) has in her possession a ancient sword with which is crucial to cut off the enemies' heads. She travels to the States from Ireland to give the half breeds the sword. Both half breeds are largely on lock down but I think there is a nest of vamps in the sewers in town. The most distinctive feature are these small stone statues part cat part lion maybe, which seem to come alive at night or when no one is looking. They are vicious and deadly, may have a poisonous bite...one I think is looking for its litter. They are chimeras I think...they protect the house. I think Jessie comes from a long line of weapon makers. Book 1 didn't feature these characters, but did reference the sword...was based in Ireland, in a ruined castle inhabited by the last true vampire who steals this girl or she finds him and he tries to hide his secret from her...anyway they get it on. That's what I remember...I read them about 8-10 years ago. They were bloody marvellous.

We don't need to. Threads can stay open indefinitely. If you're still interested in finding the book, you should bump the thread every few months to get members looking at it.
