Haha. You're so funny. Good luck!

This was a GREAT book to start the New Year!
Wow! I did NOT see that coming! Not in a million years! Great book! Imogene Church narrated this book above and beyond, again, as is her trademark. You really get to know the individual characters in the book whenever Imogene is telling any story. She can make you FEEL the emotions surrounding the characters, the intensity, the drama! Yes! Read it! Or, listen to it, in this case!
Someone asked a question about rating this book.... #1 being a book you could read to your children, #10 will give you nightmares. I would rate it about a 6. But, it completely depends on the person reading it, of course. which is why I normally don't do 1-10, but since it was asked... If your at all squeamish, I don't recommend it. It has mummification, people dying in various gruesome ways, including sewage. However, I wouldn't classify it as a horror level, either, not to the point of nightmares, anyway. Stephen King's Pet Sematary (read when I was a teenager, had nightmares, and still get the creeps!) And It, (I didn't get past chapter one, and put IT (literally) down immediately! I don't do well with dead animals, and I have a real phobia of clowns. But, again, that's me.
Having said that, the story line is fantastic, fast paced, full of suspense, and was unlike any other book I've ever read before. Which brings me back to the ending. Wow! I never expected the end! Never. And, I've read many, many mystery, suspense, and thrillers over a wide spread of genres, as most of you know. Alex Marwood will be an author I'll definitely read again! In this case, I would highly recommend the audio book version, narrated by Imogene Church. I think I got more bang for my buck hearing it instead of reading it. Either way, it's a great book! I, definitely recommend it!
I've gotten really good at copy and paste! I'll look up how to link book reviews today. =o)
a herf="http etc. I can't type it correctly here or you can't see the rest of this post. =o)
The problem is I don't know how to link the review text in between. I've looked it up on the main goodreads page 'how to' but it wasn't more specific on how to post review links. I've seen what you all do too, but you lose me at
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show.....
then I can't see what comes next.
Thanks, to anyone who can help. =o] Always looking to learn. =o)

I don't think it will work in the app - you'll have to be on the website.
But you can do it two ways - the easy way is just to copy the URL when your review is open and then just paste here in its entirety. This is one of mine - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and it doesn't matter that it shortens the address - GR knows what it needs to be.
Or you can get a bit more involved...
1. So the way I do it is I click on the "(some html is OK)" at the upper right corner of the text box and copy and paste all the text next to link - from < through to a>.
2. Then open up your review in a separate tab or window and copy the URL.
3. Paste that between the inverted commas in the link you've just pasted previously. This will replace http://www.goodreads.com
4. Then choose what you want to call your link - perhaps My Review and replace the "my link text" between the > and < with My Review (or whatever you've decided to call it).
5. So for one of my reviews, this will look like My review and what this looks like before it is converted into a neat looking hyperlink is this (without the *'s and the space between show and /): <*a href="https://www.goodreads.com/review/show /1800683207">My review<*/a>
Does that help at all? Or is it all as clear as mud?!

Or Review
and with the asterisks and space in so that you can see what it looks like, it's <*a href="https://www.goodreads.com/review/show /1791128030?book_show_action=false&from_review_page=1">Review<*/a>
Not that it matters what it looks like, because all of the italicised bits (between the " and ") are just directly copied and pasted from the page I was directed to when I clicked on "See review" under your name.

I don't think it will work in the app - you'll have to be on the website.
