Garrett Steele (steele03) | 6 comments Well first off I'd like to say I'm the only guy I've seen interested in these books lol. I'm ok with that. Here are the series I've already read:

Vampire Academy,
Midnight Breed,
Immortals After Dark (2nd Favorite series)
Demonica
Dark Hunter
Fallen Angels
Lords of the Underworld
The Dark Ink Chronicles
Black Dagger Brotherhood (Favorite)
Night Huntress
Night Prince
Immortal Instruments
Immortals of N.O.
Fever Novels

I just started the Katie Daniels series. I've skimmed threads for a while now, not much has jumped out. I'm stuck waiting for BDB IOD and Fever Novels to come out with the new books. I wasn't a fan of the Midnight Breed or Night Prince series'. Hopefully I can get some help with this, if not here are some books you should check out. Thanks in advance.

HI Garrett, I've read most of these too :) Maybe check out Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires series if you haven't already.

lorii (Loriidae) The Darkyn series by Lynn Viehl. If Angels Burn is has a lower rating but the series improves as the story arc progresses. The Kyndred is the spin-off series.

Also Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. There is an intertwining of 2 series Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega, which is best read according to the timeline on Briggs' website rather than all of one series and then all of the next. The first is Moon Called

Kate Daniels takes a couple of novels to get into, the world building is very complex and really takes the focus away from the storyline of the first novel. Also she is very big on complex mythology.

Vampires in America by DB Reynolds the first is Raphael

I am just starting Spider's Bite the first of Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin series, but am not far in enough to give an opinion, but enjoying it so far.

I'm a huge shifter fan. I don't know if these would work for you. Pix are first of the series and most are complete or close to it.

PepperPot would you class Terry Spears in the same erotica type content as Lauren Dane?

PepperP0t | 539 comments no not at all.

Terry's has romance and a sex scene maybe two but with Lauren you the whole purpose is to get to the sex.

If I recommend I try to warn about that kind of thing so you aren't offended

That's great. Thanks, for some reason I had the idea they were full on erotica. Adding your rec to my ever growing TBR.

Dani Stowe (danistowe) | 13 comments I thought I was the vamp queen but there's a ton of books listed here I haven't read yet. Crazy.

Great list. Two completed series that you really should try:

Meljean Brook's The Guardian series. Demon Angel (The Guardians, #1) by Meljean Brook (https://www.goodreads.com/series/4072...) Angels, demons, nosferatu, vamps. Epic finale. LOVE THIS.

Alyssa Day's Warriors of Poseidon series.
Atlantis Rising (Warriors of Poseidon, #1) by Alyssa Day
(https://www.goodreads.com/series/4231...) Cross genre. UF with a lot of action, but with a romance each book around each warrior. Atlanteans, gods/goddesses, vampires, shifters, fae. Great series arc.

message 14: by Timelord Iain (new)

Timelord Iain @Garrett SOLIDARITY... You're not alone... another dude here... I've read TONS of the series listed here unless they didn't catch my fancy...

I'd recommend the rest of Ilona Andrews' catalogue:

On the Edge (The Edge, #1) by Ilona Andrews -- PnR series that mainly takes place in a border realm between Earth and a magic realm
Clean Sweep (Innkeeper Chronicles, #1) by Ilona Andrews -- UF series set in a bed & breakfast, only vampires/werewolves/etc are alien races (some characters from Edge have crossed over so read after)
Burn for Me (Hidden Legacy, #1) by Ilona Andrews -- UF/PnR with an alt-history where people gained psychic powers in the 1800s... the rest of the trilogy comes out this month and in July

Nalini Singh also has Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling #1) by Nalini Singh -- large series in a world with 3 main factions: Psy, Changeling, and Human -- the first story arc ended around book 13 with the new one is just starting

I enjoyed the Vampire/Kitsune relationship in Generation V (Generation V, #1) by M.L. Brennan

Shelly Laurenston also has a Norse mythology PnR starting with The Unleashing (Call of Crows, #1) by Shelly Laurenston -- Valkyries, Ravens, Giantslayers, etc set in Hollywood... typical Shelly Laurenston / GA Aiken humor

This series-starter by Ann Aguirre is my highest rated of hers to date: The Leopard King (Ars Numina, #1) by Ann Aguirre -- alt-world PnR where 3 supernatural factions are on the brink of war, and separated far north from Humans for a while now... 2nd book just came out in March

I prefer Elizabeth Hunter's Cambio Spring books over her Elemental World: Shifting Dreams (Cambio Springs, #1) by Elizabeth Hunter -- PnR set in desert town near West Coast... settlers stumbled on a spring that makes people shape-shifters... plots stray close to Contemporary Romance... similar to Lynsay Sands Argeneau Vampire books: A Quick Bite (Argeneau #1) by Lynsay Sands (If you read this series make sure to check the author's timeline, because the first 3-4 books were printed out of order)
