I hit Goodwill today to get flannel shirts to make wreaths. I wandered over to the book section and squealed. I found 14 hardcover copies of the In Death series. Absolute heaven!

Well, I couldn't wait myself, so I've created team threads and uploaded bingo cards. We have 22 teams this round, so check the "FIND YOUR TEAM" thread for your team and a quick link to your team's thread.

Between now and game time (18 Jan @ 12:30p PST), please ...
~ Introduce yourself & chat with your teammies
~ Review your team bingo card to make sure there are no duplicate shelves
~ Vote on and choose a team name
~ Choose a team captain

Please let us know if there are any issues with your bingo card, which team name you would like and who will be your captain. Thanks!

As anyone who has played this game before may have noticed, some players only read books for their shelves if it is a potential winning shelf.

As of this Round of Bingo, the Mods have decided to implement a new rule -

To win Bingo, every called shelf must be stamped. ie every book for every shelf for the winning team must be read, rated and reviewed, and then stamped.

Of course, you never know who will be on the winning team, so it pays to keep up to date throughout the game :)

Steph, there seem to be 2 Lauras, one in team 2 and one in team 22. Can you point out who is in which team to avoid confusion?

I *love* this new rule. As someone who kept up with the shelves, it was always frustrating when so many others didn't. I noticed this round, there are some spots (the 4 corners) that won't help anyone get a Bingo. So, this new rule works perfectly.

I'm very bad at writing, presenting my thoughts in a clear and concise manner. I would really appreciate a list of items to cover when writing a review.

Everyone writes reviews differently Val.

What we're looking for in Bingo, is whether you liked it & why or why not. Remember in Bingo you don't need to do more than a few sentences as long as it reflects your feelings.

It might be the world-building or the interactions between the characters, or that you thought it was funny or anything else that grabs your fancy.

I generally write a review just for myself, so that I can remember what happened in the book. As so many of my books have similar ideas it makes it hard to keep track, unless something special stands out. But that's just me :)

Let me throw in my 2 cents here, Steph. You need to read In Death. Just go ahead and try one.

I love this series and used to buy them as soon as they hit the bookstores, but had to cut back on my book buying when a lot of my favorite authors started releasing in hardback. I am already on the library hold list for Echoes in Death even though it's not being released for another month.

Just reading right this moment, grabbed it from the library yesterday :)

All you In Death fans ~ if you haven't yet you should try it on audio. The narrator is really good.

Oh my goodness! For the record, I never said I wouldn't, just that I wasn't rushing to start a series that already has over 40 ... forty ... books in it and still going. O.o Maaaaaybe I'll start it this year, no promises though. >;)
