- What made you pick this book in 2016? Any reason you didn't read it?
Had heard good things about it (and the title alone is amazing, IMO) but wasn't sure about paying full price for it because it's not my usual fare. Found it in a charity shop for 50p, took it home... and left it to languish on my TBR as other books came and went.

Way too many to mention XD

I'll be reading Prince of Thorns
What made you pick this book in 2016? Any reason you didn't read it?

Which other book did you really want to read but didn't open last year?
A lot.... the curse of not reading quickly and having a hectic work schedule.

What made you pick this book in 2016? Any reason you didn't read it?
I'd heard good things about it, plus I'm big into the MCU and was interested to see how it would translate into a purely written format. I didn't read it because 1) I have had bad experiences with the author before, and 2) I had a million other books from the library that all had waiting lists. This one didn't, so I kept putting it off, renewing it and forgetting about it.
Which other book did you really want to read but didn't open last year?
Ugh so many! The Star Wars novels, books 2 and 3 of the Tearling series... there's never enough time!

I meant to read this back in December as a book club read. Things got a little busy then, but will prioritise now.
I have a huge pile of books to read. Always more books than time!

- Which other book did you really want to read but didn't open last year?
I wanted to read The High King to finish out the whole Chronicles of Prydain in one year, but again, got distracted and ran out of time. I'm going to try to get to this one for one of the prompts in the Popsugar challenge.

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
- What made you pick this book in 2016? Any reason you didn't read it?
I had the feeling it was on every blog about books. Its cover kept drawing my attention. But I was not sure I would like it (I'm not very fond of dystopias), so I didn't want to buy it. And it was never available at my local library when I had time to read it.
- Which other book did you really want to read but didn't open last year?
Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I haven't read it yet for totally different reasons. Last year I read Purple Hibiscus by the same author. I loved it so much that I wanted to be sure to read this one when I could truly enjoy it and not feel rushed or guilty for reading instead of doing more "urgent" things. So I'm saving it for my next vacation time!
