A tv show? Wow, what's the name?

Tales of the Unexpected

Nitesh Kanthaliya | 56 comments Amazing story and OfCoz Dahl has created his magic again by establishing the relationship between Trunchbull and Miss Honey. Nothing could have been a better start to 2017.

Monica Shastri (nicafictionalfandoms) | 2 comments Just finished reading this book ..and it is amazing..
I just couldn't put this one down..
I hated the headmistress right from when she was introduced and almost jumped in joy every time something awful happened to her.
Like serves you right you wicked old lady :)
So want to see the movie as well.

Rebecca | 89 comments I finished. A very fast read.

Oh yeah, that part did feel kinda rushed. After all they were her parents. Whatever, it was a fun read :)

I haven't watched the movie yet. I don't know, but I don't feel like watching the movie adaptations of books.

HeyLucindaO! (heylucinda) "You can do it Brucie!!" Loved the cake eating challenge by the Trunchbull! Reminds me of a headmaster I had in high school. Glad I survived my schooling

I don't like watching the movie adaptations either!! They never get it right. Although I do recommend searching Youtube for some funny scenes from Matilda. They managed to portray the Trunchbull exceptionally well (In my opinion).

Some funny scenes I liked:

Ohh...the scenes are hilarious. In my imagination Trunchbull was more huge and more wild than this, but it's still close.

I enjoyed the scenes very much. Thank You.

HeyLucindaO! (heylucinda) Gorab wrote: "how did you find it Lucinda? was it your first Dahl too?"

Spoiler Alert.....I really enjoyed the book, I've read quite a few Dahl's but never Matilda as I have seen the movie. I loved the illustrated pictures and how Matilda got revenge... It gave me some sort of weird satisfaction to see mean people punished! I did however feel disappointed in the ending, it was a bit cold and rushed, I watched the ending scene of the movie on youtube straight after I finished the book and it left me with a sense of calm as Matilda was finally happy, safe and content.

HeyLucindaO! (heylucinda) Glad you both liked the video clips Rebecca and Arpit... here is a final one from me... the ending scene. (Spoiler Alert)

Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments Ha ha ha. The scenes look good. Now I'm tempted to try out the full movie.
