I hope so! I tried it years ago and hated it but am thinking time to try again!

MJ | 953 comments I tried Possession a few years ago too and couldn't do it. Good luck!

Here's hoping the last 20 years has changed me into someone who can. And if not, at least that'll be another book in the donate pile!

It's a very literary book, I find, and I think that's the kind of book you have to be in the mood fo..."

Well, I got 7 books off hold from the library last night and few are already on my challenge list, so there's my first challenge of the year! Darn library. And to get them, I had to surrender Underground Railroad not done yet.

I finished Another Brooklyn last night and it was good. An interesting read. It wasn't in my plan so not sure if I'm going to count it!

I'm doing it for something you meant to read in 2016

Finished Possession- there was quite a bit of skimming, it's a bit overwritten. I liked the main story and the research components but not all the literary stuff. I felt like the author was a bit too in love with itself. I fell it won all the awards for the same reason LaLa Land is- industries loves things that make them look good.

Onto Orphan Train (it looks fast!) and finishing Dovekeepers.

Already moving around- realize my whole pile of historical novels are multiple perspective so have moved Possession to a week with less choices.

Homegoing was SO good! Although I didn't get emotionally involved with any of the characters, I did into the story.

then I moved onto Whiskey Sea, a Bookbub $1.99 deal and could see why it was a deal.

Only three books behind.... sped through the Blackbird House which most people might not like but since it's about the history of the Outer Cape (well about people living there but I see it as history), of course I was grading on a curve.
