Bibo Tabb Imagine waking up in a different body everyday, and living a different life everyday, yet being in love with the same person everyday. A frustrating yet intriguing book by David Levithan; “Every day” is a book enjoyed by teenagers all over the world. This book will make you wonder, and will catch your attention. It will make you see things and situations from the perspective of others. Since I am an avid reader I have read many books, and many of them have had the same storyline. However, I can assure you I have never read anything that is written with this type of story line. Teens who are keen on books written by the famous author John Green such as "The Fault in our stars" and "Looking for Alaska" are very likely to take interest in this book. This book tells the story the main character(A) who wakes up in a different body everyday. One day the main character A wakes up in the body of a male, and falls in love with a girl named Rhiannon, and ever since A falls in love with her, the great leap and change between bodies has hurt their relationship. And so, the plot unravels, and as he leaps from body to body, day by day he tries his best to see her everyday resulting in jeopardizing the lives of the bodies he is in. The really unique thing about this book is that the name of the main character is A, because the character can never be really given a name since A is sometimes a girl, and at other times A is a boy. Usually, in other books the readers are given a full detailed description of the character, however with the changing of bodies the reader is constantly curious about the details of the life of the person which A has taken over. This book is mainly of interest to teenage girls between the ages of twelve to seventeen, mainly because David Levithan uses this novel to portray a love story with a slight twist, which wouldn’t be of great interest to many teenage boys. The thing that made this book stand for me is that it is a story about people. It talks about all different types of people, in all different types of situations that everyday people are put in, and all around the world. The really interesting thing about this book is that it makes you think and wonder to yourself. What if you were put in the same situation as A, what would you have done differently? I can guarantee that Every day is a page turner, and a book that will require your attention till the very last word.

Titi I completely enjoyed the book. It has become one of my favorites. A's situation was interesting and I really felt for him. Does anyone else think that making this book into a movie would be a good idea?

Cisco @Winter- for him/her. :)

Translating this story into a film would be fantastic.

I'm not so sure myself that making it a movie would be a good idea. I think a large part of this book is what happens internally and that would be difficult to accomplish and inevitably something would be lost. Not every book needs a movie, nor does every book work in a movie, by a long shot; that's the beauty of the text.
