I read 76 books totaling 23,672 pages (avg - 311 pages per book).
I listened to 50 items (includes the short story) totaling approximately 542.75 hours (avg - 10.75 hrs. per audio).

haven't done my "best of yet", but will do it later today (hopefully).

year avg length total pages
16 375 46174
15 361 54940
14 383 53238
13 373 54890
12 362 50405
Issues at work have definitely interfered with my reading.

I am curious about the method you used to track your audiobook hours listened. I often shelve my audiobooks as print on Goodreads to attempt to get a more accurate page count for the year for all of my books and I may have mostly done that this year.
I listened to 87 audiobooks of the 108 total read with 36,544 pages according to GR, average 345.
Goodreads tends to give a page count of one for the audio edition details
Last year my pages for 104 books averaged 348 per book from 35,506 pages with 85 audiobooks in 2015.

My work commute traffic has grown a lot in the last two years especially thus adding to the length of time spent in the car listening to audiobooks; and digital adio books have allowed for portable listening while walking for exercise which I stepped up (pun intended) the last couple of years as well.
Going back five years my audio book counts have gone from 33 in 2012 to 87 in 2016.
(33 or 44% in 2012; 36 or 52% in 2013; 62 or 80% in 2014; 85 or 82%in 2015; 87 or 80% in 2016)

I have an old Microsoft Works Data program that I have used since 1996 and after I finish a book/audio I record the pages or the hours and then at the year end copy everything to a spreadsheet to come up with my totals.
I wish Goodreads would figure out a way so the audio versions would be able to show the hours instead of pages which messes up the year end totals, though I also don't always pick the audio version of the book if it does not have cover art.

i'm with you on the audio books- plus i get too distracted when listening to them.

My concentration is just not there for audio. I found when I did try them way back when I walked it's not enough motivation for me. I rather do music. In the car when I tried it going back and forth to shore I found I always had to go crazy looking for my place because I wasn't in the car enough until those rides to do it and only listened to the audio for half the ride. that was when I found out that essays where better for those times.
46 new
39 loaned to me
7 from the library
31 used or "cheap"
goal was 42,000 pages. April hurt, so much overtime I only read 2 books. My next big overtime month is scheduled for this fall.
