Sorry, kind of a lame prompt, huh? But it seems to be a popular title word these days. What do you recommend?

Xanthi (libertine101) Girl with the dragon tattoo - of course! Really good book and series. Or maybe Amy Schumer's "Girl with the lower back tattoo". Not read it yet but it is on my list.

Buffra | 3 comments I just picked up Brown Girl Dreaming....have heard good things about it!

Laura | 144 comments I think I'm going to use Fannie Flagg's "The All-Girl-Filling Station Last Reunion". Though the Fairyland series by Catherine M Valente is great fun and 4/5 have the word girl in the title.

Cindi Kelley (cheesygiraffe) Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Franks, The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. I've read them all.

Cindi Kelley (cheesygiraffe) Aha! I know what I'm going to read. It's something I've been meaning to read for a while too. I hope the plural of the word is okay. If so I'm going to read Shanghai Girls by Lisa See.

Sure. One of my possibilities is The Shining Girls.

Mary Arkless | 153 comments I have just completed "Running Like a Girl" by Alexandra Heminsley. It is written by a woman telling her experiences with getting running (focussing on marathons), rather as a motivator for other women thinking of starting running.

Xanthi (libertine101) I just finished "The Girl Before " but I can't recommend it. You'd be better off reading Amy Schumer's "Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo".

Mary Arkless | 153 comments I have just finished "The Girl from Aleppo" by Nujeen Mustafa and Christina Lamb. I am counting it primarily towards the book about a road trip challenge, but it fits this one, too.

I will probably end up reading The Girl with Ghost Eyes for this prompt.

Laura | 144 comments The All Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion Fannie Flagg is always good for a light read.

The Girl With All the Gifts - a nice spin on the traditional zombie book

message 13: by Cindi (new)

Cindi Kelley (cheesygiraffe) I ended up reading The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye. I really enjoy this series and David Lagercrantz has done a great job taking over for Steig Larrson after he died.

Cheryl (6of8) | 247 comments Finally managed to cross this one off with Ghost Girl. One more book to finish to complete the goal I set for this challenge. And one more day left in 2017

I did end up reading this one. It was pretty good, with lots of fun characters and action scenes.
