Hello Book Club Members!

I’m very excited to discuss January’s Book Club title – Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J.D. Vance.

Vance’s memoir is about his family and the generational struggles they’ve experienced with abuse, alcoholism, and poverty. He suggests that his family’s struggles speak to the broader issues facing America’s white working class. This is a timely book and one that has garnered a lot of attention – positive and negative.
