I'm going for 26 books. And I'm super excited about a new one from Neil Gaiman coming out. :)
Thank you Cadi! 26 sounds like a good number, best of luck to you this year! Kept me updated on your goal and what you've read. =)
I met my goal of 50 books read in 2016, reading a total of 52 books. I also completed the PopSugar Ultimate Reading Challenge for 2016. How did you do on your reading goal this year?
This month I read...
Emma by Jane Austen- I listened to this on Audio. I really enjoyed the story, however I'm not sure Jane Austen was meant to be listened to. I had a hard time listening to the style of writing and language she uses. I found the writing and language much easier when I read Pride and Prejudice earlier this year.
You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero- I'm not much for the self-help category of reading, so this book didn't do much for me. It did make some interesting points though. I was especially interested in what she had to say about the sub-conscious mind.
Stardust by Niel Gaiman- I saw the movie first on this one (tsk, tsk, I know). I've always loved the movie and wanted to give the book a try. It was a fun little adventure, and definitely a quick and easy read.
Quidditch Through the Ages by JK Rowling- As a Harry Potter fan, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to learn more about the beginnings of Quidditch. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the parts as well!
The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith- I really got wrapped into the mystery in this story. I enjoyed the main characters too, Cormoran and Robin. I'm excited to read the next books in the series to see the next mystery these two solve.
Share what you read this month below!
Is there a book coming out in 2017 you're super excited for?
Have you set a reading goal for this year? I'm going for 40 this year.
Happy Reading!
