Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments Who will be joining me with Words of Radiance byBrandon Sanderson?

..............

Akshay (akshay_sauron) I'm busy revising The Way of Kings. I just remember the general outlines, all the details have been lost.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments I, too, was re- reading The Way of Kings. Don't think I'll finish in time for this read, but I remember enough. Tor.com has done a re-read. Make a skim of that will be enough.

Talitha (victorian_soul) I read it as soon as it came out, but I'll definitely try to join in the discussion. P.S. I kind of loved it.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments I'm expecting to l...o...v...e....it, myself.
:)

Richard Radgoski | 11 comments I started Words already, but am only 1/4 through, so plan on trying to read it with you.

Sydney I'm going to read Way of Kings and catch up with you on Words of Radiance. I often leave the 1st book in a series unread until I have the 2nd book in hand, especially when it's by an author I really enjoy like Brandon Sanderson.

James This is a great book for those who enjoy intricate world building and indepth charachter development. Love the magic system, though I still feel I have a lot more to learn about it. After reading the first two books of this series and the Mistborn series Sanderson has jumped to the top of my favorite authors list. He is one heck of a writer and takes his time to envelope the reader into the world he creates.

Ely (shomarq) I just read both Way of Kings and Words of Radiance in late April. It's absolutely amazing! I adore Sanderson's writing style and patience with his world-building

Mike Wilson Just finished this in March so I will bounce in and out of conversation but will not be rereading so soon! My arms are just getting over lugging it around! Lol!

Mike Wilson Ps it is wonderful!

Heh heh......

One word......ereader......

But after I'm done reviewing TWoK I'll be building my muscles, also.

Lol! I went to Brandon's signing in Houston where he will sign 3 books plus Words of Radiance. Standing for 3 hours with 4 of Sanderson books requires a back brace or a team lift. Well worth it, he's my favorite author!

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments I wonder if he would sign my ereader........

Lindsey | 124 comments I read it back when it was first published, looking forward to the discussion!

Robert (dimndbangr) | 17 comments I'll do what I can to join in on the discussion. I have been savoring the book and read about 10+ pages per day. I'm currently on page 682. So far it is absolutely amazing. I'm really loving this book.

It's kind of odd in a book when you're on page 682, and it isn't within a few pages of being done. These books are veritable tomes!

Kelly Parks This book was amazing!! I couldn't put it down!!

Anirudh Just started and thoroughly impressed. Loved the sketches. Glad I bought Hardcover. Worth it.

I also thought WoR was an upgrade from TWoK with all the inside art work and sketches! Just a beautiful hardback book.

Annie Johnson For some reason this one has been harder for me to get sucked into. I am almost half way through and it still hasn't been like the first once which I couldn't put down. Maybe it was just too long in between and I should of re-read the first one. The cover is awesome though!

Just finished Part 1. The colour sketch of shallan on the inside of cover was breathtaking! Not to mention all the black and white ones in between :-)

So far it has captivated my interest. But on occasion I had to refer back to the first book to recall a few supporting characters.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments I never buy the hardback books, but these I jumped for.
I love the extra details art/maps Brandon Sanderson puts to these books.

Jelmer | 16 comments I've finished this book a while ago, and loved it despite it's many flaws.

You are evil people. I'm on an e reader and seeing the sketches in book one has been a struggle. As I'm reading through this, I've found myself justifying buying paper copies of both books! The kindle versions weren't cheap either.

I'm about to start it,I can't resist. Sanderson is jumping up my author leader board.

Msh | 2 comments Almost done with it and it's a great book.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments Helen...FYI
Brandon Sanderson has been known to give free ebook copies to those who bought his book.

I have TWoK on ebook as well. I'm pretty sure, it was a good deal.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments For those of you that are done, I will open a spoiler thread later today.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments Okay!!!! Starting today!

Hope I've refreshed my memory enough.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments Had to go back to The Way of Kings briefly, but now I'm back, almost to page 200.

Very interested in the changes the characters are going through.

I've had very interesting comments about the book as I've carried it around. War and Peace?....Webster's Dictionary?.....Haha ....even better....if only they knew.

Suzanne I'll be starting this as soon as I finish The Way of Kings. I'm enjoying it so much that I'm wanting to know what happens, yet not wanting it to end, which is saying a lot for such a long book!

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments I'm almost at the halfway point. Very interesting how the author goes about Shallan's character. She is gradually coming into focus....yet still some surprises await. Of course, I'm sure that is true of a lot of the characters, but she is a bit more.....elusive.

Shallan grew on me a lot in this book.
