J. Saman | 320 comments That's awesome TL!!

I'm on it! Consider the US officially awake. Babies make for an early rise ; )

I've RT'd as many as I could find and I have some bloggers sharing the love too! I also have some tweets scheduled on a high traffic promotion site later this am.

It's going to be epic!!!

message 202: by J. (new)

J. Saman | 320 comments I went on FB and did some postings of my own. Twitter is more my avenue, so I'll be on there a lot today. So excited and hope everyone has a ton of sales!!

T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 527 comments Ummm...
Many of these books don't seem to be at their reduced price yet. Are we suffering from jet lag?? :-/

Emma Jaye | 27 comments Mine show as 99 on my amazon dashboard, I changed them yesterday, and got acknowledgement emails, but they are still showing as the normal price on amazon.
I've sent a sternly worded email to amazon but I'm not sure it'll do any good. GRRRRRRRR

I'll keep the price at 99c for the next week, to make up for anybody who misses out due to Amazon's glitch.

I just checked the links themselves and I see all the books set at the correct price, so I'm not sure what's going on...

I purchased your books at the sale price. What Amazon are you seeing them at normal? Because I purchased them at Amazon.com.

Emma Jaye | 27 comments Both amazon.com and .uk (form the indie romance links) are showing the original prices for me, unless I'm only getting a cached version?
At least they are appearing correctly for readers.

Weird. I clicked on the links from my phone and computer and both showed them correctly.

T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 527 comments I'm on Amazon UK.
I booted up a new connection and searched as well as following links. :-/

It's weird as it's not across the board. I've bought all the ones which were showing at the discounted price.

I started up from a different search engine and I'm still seeing 2.99.

J. Saman | 320 comments Emma, when I bought your book it showed up as 0.99 on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KCB8UX0/... so I'm not sure what you're seeing. Maybe it just took Amazon a bit longer to get you sorted out?

message 217: by Emma (new)

Emma Jaye | 27 comments When hit that link I get $3.75. But I am in the UK.
Perhaps only the links are only working correctly from the US?

Could be? I'm in the US and it's list as $0.99 for me too. :)

Well, when you set up a kindle countdown (can't remember if you did that) you can only pick .com or .uk, not both at the same time.

Edit: And you didn't because I just checked, so maybe it is something to do with being in the US here....so weird.

message 223: by Emma (new)

Emma Jaye | 27 comments I think .uk is on a go slow. I bought 7 99c books in the promo at about 8 am. The receipt has just come through, its now 2.47 pm.

I blame the snow. A little dusting here and everything goes to pieces LOL!

message 224: by J. (new)

J. Saman | 320 comments Well it works in the U.S. So here you're good.

When I go to Amazon.uk and look for my book, it redirects me to the U.S. site to buy it in kindle form. I didn't remember to drop my price for U.K though! Does it show up different there?

message 225: by J. (new)

J. Saman | 320 comments On a side note, I've bought everyone's book and they're all at either free or 0.99

I think you can only pick one market to drop the price with a kindle countdown.

J. Saman | 320 comments Emma wrote: "Sorry J, your book is full price here in the U.K."
Boogers! I have no idea how to change that one now either! I'll work on it. Thanks Emma!

message 230: by Emma (new)

Emma Jaye | 27 comments Mine weren't on a countdown deal. I physically changed the prices on my dashboard.
Looks like there is a lag on the amazon.uk sight.

You should be able to select UK and US as two separate Countdowns simulataneously.

If you're in the US and go to the UK site it'll direct you back to your own country, as that's where you can buy books from.
(incidentally, you CAN leave book reviews on each one)

message 233: by J. (new)

J. Saman | 320 comments It won't let me manually change the price of Start Again for the U.K because I have the countdown deal going in the U.S.
Start Over should be at 0.99 everywhere because the was a manual. Sorry about that!

that's what it shows up here when I go to the U.K. Site. In any event, I might have been able to manually lower it for the U.K. but we'll see how long that takes to work and what it actually does. It's set up in the U.S. and I'll have to live with it. Thanks everyone for your help!

Learn something new everyday! I didn't know you could do it together. Well, mine is only available US, because I didn't know. lol

message 236: by T.L. (new)

T.L. Clark (tlcauthor) | 527 comments Oh dear, well I guess it's all a learning curve.
And it may be that if you're in the US you can only run US. But I doubt it.
I know I can choose US AND UK Countdowns.

I'm sleepy now, and it's only 15:40 here. Having a cuppa waiting for the stepkids to arrive.
I have done much social media'ing, so if I go quiet this evening please forgive me.

Good luck everyone.

xx

message 238: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Siegrist (amandasiegrist) No, I tried it with a different book and I can do both at the same time. I just always thought when I set it up you could do only one at a time. That's all.

Yeah, I think it's only in the U.S. or U.K. Or whatever country you specifically reduced the price for. It's not a universal (or global in this case) thing.

message 246: by Alexis (new)

Alexis | 87 comments Almost everything was 3-5 dollars, but I scooped up the ones that were free or 0.99 and I'm about to crawl under the blankets and get to reading. Good luck ladies!

Okay, haven't read all the comments yet but re: Countdown prices (and sorry if this has been answered)...

Amazon likes to "hide" discounts from other marketplaces. Even though I use a US addy and purchase from .com ALL the time, my home base is CA so I'm seeing all full prices. Miss Ember was kind enough to check all the prices at midnight for me since she can see them properly. There were only 2 books not correctly priced.

Everything currently on the event page IS correctly priced, but anyone outside .com can't see it.

Just gathering links and shizz from bloggers. Be back shortly.

Hugssss,
Ann

ADD: Countdown deals can only be set for US and UK. Everyone already knows that but I feel like rolling out the red carpet for Captain Obvious LOL
