Personality: She is eccentric. She has a strange teaching style and rarely teaches properly like other teachers. She never lets her students take advantage of her since she doesn't want them to get far too big heads or become lazy, but she does allow them free time to do what they want so that they will listen to her. She is sensitive about her gender and hates it when people call her a boy or disrespect her just because of her gender. She teaches the way that she would have wanted to be taught, and the way that she can learn things, with teaching techniques like being nice. She is cold to the people around her because she doesn't feel comfortable talking to people around her age. She likes her students and sees them all as close friends rather than students sometimes. She is clumsy sometimes, but only when she is in love and continues to walk.
History: Born to George and Calista Avery, she was born in a male's body, always uncomfortable about her being a boy and always felt like a girl, wearing things from the girls' section. She was always laughed at by her classmates at school and dreaded going to school. When she turned five, she had a younger sister, Emilia, who she loved more than anything. She took care of Emilia, since her parents were mostly busy outside of work and managing things, so she grew especially close to her younger sibling. As she got older, she discovered that it wasn't just that she liked wearing girls' clothes, that she felt like a girl. So she told her parents, and they accepted it, but she always feels like they don't, even after she got the surgery. She was accepted to BLA for her exceptional grades, along with her sister, and they attended school together, until she graduated, and returned to teach, wanting to be a teacher and teach the way that she felt comfortable teaching. Her sister was always there for her, helping her, and not doubting her. her sister is her favorite person. She has been teaching here for a year, after she went to university and got a degree.

Terra: I just have a few edits for you before your character is approved. First of all German club isn’t an extra curricular activity currently offered at the school although your character could study languages specifically German. Second of all can you please expand on both her personality and her history. Some ideas for doing so might be if she is an introvert or an extrovert or if she works well with others or would rather work alone. For expanding her history you could possibly include how she found out about the academy and how her family got the money for her to go there.

History: ryo grew up not knowing who his mom was. he lived with his father. his mom had … up and left, dad said. until ryo found the shotgun in his bathroom cabinet. he called the police — what else would a seven-year-old do? and was terrified when they took his dad away. he was adopted two weeks later and has had a pretty happy life with his adopted family.

awatea’s skin is darkish, like ryo’s. they’re 50% hawaiian. her eyes are big and dark brown, and her eyelashes are thick and long. her hair is dark and falls to her waist, curling at the ends, but she usually keeps it in a ponytail. the ends used to be purple, but they’re just bleached blonde now. she’s 5’4, kind of short. she has remarkable clear skin, though, and takes generally good care of herself.
Personality: awatea is soft-spoken and quiet. she has a certain steeliness about her that’s hard to deny, though. even if she doesn’t like to interact with others all that much, she’s very resourceful and smart, and won’t hesistate to share important ideas. she knows her place, and is generally graceful and kind. but she can take control whenever she wants to; she’s a great leader in addition to a loyal follower.
History: awa grew up with the same backstory as ryo. although, she has a bit more pain in her past. when ryo called the police, they were in the middle of a game of hide and seek. so, she was hidden. the cops didn’t find her. when her father was let out of prison later that day by one of his drug dealer buddies, he went straight to the house. and found awa, waiting on the front step for ryo to come back home. he thought she was the one who reported him. so, he dragged her inside, and held her in the bathtub, and slit her wrists. she only barely survived and still has certain conditions from the incident.
her father left her for dead, but a neighbor found her later when he came looking for his cat. they called the hospital and awa thankfully survived. she was later reunited with her brother. ever since, though, she can’t look at a bathtub without getting a panic attack.

At first glance, Elzarine may seem like that one person that always isolates himself/herself, but she's just a little shy, so don't be afraid to approach her and say "hi"! She's also really smart, almost like a human encyclopedia due to her hobby of researching random things, so you can also go ahead and ask her anything (except test answers). Once you get to know her, you'll see that she actually has a great sense of humor, and is always there to support you whenever you need it. Though no one expects this from her, Elzie is also surprisingly good at presentations, speaking at the right volume and speed with no flashcards at all!
History:
Elzarine hails from Montreal, Quebec, though her French is not quite fluent yet. Her parents both work in the technology industry, so having a daughter who specializes in art must be different. Elzie started drawing at a very young age, and though she doesn't like to boast, she admits that her art had definitely gained some recognition. Her parents weren't harsh, but they encouraged her to participate in more extra-curricular activities and competitions in order for college applications to be easier. They had been looking for some schools for a while, and found BLA to be the perfect match. Elzie was a little apprehensive at first, but was super excited to start school after she had visited (she heard there were some good art programs too).

Personality:
Jacques is mean. There is no easy way around that fact. He's mean, he has been since the beginning of high school. Sure, he has his reasons but that doesn't change the fact that he is a total jerk. He gets a primal pleasure from teasing other and even physical fighting. Nothing like a good fight to blow off steam. He picks on other people, orders younger students around and even chooses fights with teachers when he's in the mood.
Like everyone who fights though, he's fighting for a reason. Ever since grade 9 he has battled constantly with self image problems. He picks on other people to deal with his own image issues. Making other people feel bad about themselves is just his way of feeling a little bit better about himself. He is the classic example of a bully. There is almost always a reason behind his snide comments and short temper, although that doesn't excuse him in any way.
Jacques also isn't exactly the smartest person by any means. He is terrible at math (which is unfortunate considering his interest in business) and he has no attention for detail. He often bullies others into doing his work for him so that he can pass by with relatively good marks. His parents expect great things from him so it's the only way he can meet their expectations. The one thing he is good at are languages. He can pick up new words and grammar with ease and enjoys learning other languages.
History:
Born to a successful business family, Jacques has had a relatively normal life for a wealthy kid. He always had the most up to date technology and even his own horse. His parents were very busy but never too busy to spend some time with their sons. Jacques was the younger child of two, his older brother Alex being 5 years older than him. Mostly when his parents were spending time with their children, the topics of marks always came up. Alex is a pure genius. He was always the favorite child. Math genius, perfect business sense while still being patient and kind to everyone. Everyone except Jacques. Since Alex knew that he was the favorite he loved to rub it in his younger brothers face. Jacques learned to live with it but he always doubted his own skills. It was easy to tell that his entire family liked Alex more.
When it was Jacques's turn to go to high school, there was no question he was going to BLA. Everyone in his family had gone there and while his math marks were not the greatest, Jacques excelled in languages in middle school.

History:
She was born February 25, 2001 to D.D. and Scott Kurosawa. she grew up fast, while only being a year older than her brothers she took care of them from a young age. she constantly doted on them and grew to be like another parent. Her brothers would often come to her for things they didn't think they could go to their parents for. She decided to go into a foreign exchange program for a few years and has recently returned from Kosovo, having traveled all throughout Europe.

Charlie stands at about 5'10 with a lean build. He spends most of his time reading or doing art so he isn't exactly the most athletic guy in town. He does box, but he doesn't have defined muscle or anything like that. He usually wears grungy type clothing, so flannels and ripped jeans, things like that. Nothing special or attention drawing. He really likes big hoodies though, the kind that sort of engulf you. He is almost always listening to music and keeps his headphones on his neck at all times. (Faceclaim: Will Poulter) 
Personality: Charlie doesn't talk all that much. He isn't a wallflower, since he isn't particularly shy either but he just doesn't really have the energy to talk to stupid people when he doesn't have to. He finds most people horribly idiotic and not nearly interesting enough to talk to, so he doesn't really talk to that many people. Instead he prefers to disappear into a corner with a book or a movie and a cup of hot chocolate. He isn't lonely, he likes being alone. That is until he finds someone he deems worthy of his attention and then he can be a totally Charlie Chatterbox. Once he gets hook on a topic he find interesting he won't shut up for anything. He loves art and literature and find solace in the warm silence of the school library.
Charlie has a little bit of "rebel without a cause" vibe going on. He doesn't really like people and he is under the opinion that the world pretty much sucks in every way possible but he doesn't have anything to fight back against. So, he's just sort of moody all the time. No one really notices him though as he keeps to himself mostly. He does pretty well in school but doesn't ever make a big deal out of it. He hates being the center of attention and tries to avoid public speaking at all costs.
On the inside, Charlie is still a little bit of a kid. He is easily amazed by even the smallest thing like a pretty bird or a blooming flower. He is amazingly detail oriented and likes to focus on the small things in life. He can find joy in the small things that other people tend to overlook.
History: Charlie was born in Germany and life was pretty good there. He lived with his mother and saw his father on weekends and breaks. He had two younger brothers that he loved dearly although being the older sibling isn't always peaches and cream. When he was 12, his mother got a job offer in the U.S and they moved there without a question. They didn't have any family in Germany (besides Charlie's father) so they basically just packed up and left. Charlie misses Germany although he doesn't remember it as well as he'd like too. He still goes to see his father on the breaks but he doesn't see him all that often.
Life went on as normal for a good little while, Charlie heard about BLA in grade 7 and applied. He had always been good at academics so he figured that it would be a good experience for him. In grade 8 though, everything changed. His mother met someone from work and they started going out. At first, Charlie didn't think much of it. He thought that they would have their fun and then things would go back to normal, but that didn't happen. Within a few months, Josh (the man his mother was dating) had moved into the house and after a year he proposed. That was when Charlie was 14. He had never liked Josh and was horrified by the thought of him living with them. When the time finally came to leave for boarding school, Charlie was relieved not to have to live with Josh. He still goes home often to see his mom and brothers but tries to avoid his step-father as much as possible.

Probably the best word to describe Carys is “chill”. No, she’s not really the shy, quiet type, but she can be the perfect person who you could easily talk with. Carys is often the one to make the first move in an awkward conversation, and she always tries to her best to be friendly and kind, though only if you’re nice back (she doesn’t tolerate rudeness). She’s also admits that she’s a bit of an ambivert, sometimes seen chatting up with someone for hours, or spending a night in with her favorite vintage newspapers.
History:
Born in Seattle, Washington, Carys had lived there for the first four years of her life before she later moved back to Hong Kong with her family. She had stayed there in her cramped, but homey, apartment for the next few years, often taking trips to the coastline to photograph the various sea life (even if it were mostly fish). After going back to Seattle to continue her studies, her older brother, who was rooming with her at the time, found BLA to be a good place to start. After all, Carys needed to go to school! Her brother tutored her for the most part, and though Carys is a school enthusiast, she was still surprised that she got in.

History: is the only child of a rich and ruthless father who has high expectations for his daughter. They don’t really get along as she isn’t fulfilling his expectations. Her mother died giving birth to a still born son when she was two.

It's not even that it's dead, just that the mods have been off since December. It's probably family stuff. Hopefully they'll be back soon.
Do you think anyone will mind if I start using my Character even thought she isn't approved?I'm happy to change her if the moderator notices something wrong with her after I've started to use her.
