History: Ashley always aspired to be a teacher. She was in a cheerleading squad back at her public school, and that is when it started. She started wearing a lot of makeup and trying to fit in. It took one of her closest friends and her mother to convince her that she should be herself and not be a mean popular girl like everyone else wanted her to be, and put her out of her eating disorder. She continued cheerleading, but this time because she wanted to make everyone smile and have a good time at every game. She wanted the crowds to go wild and everyone to cheer! She was excited to receive an invitation to attend the academy, and strives in her schoolwork to do the best she can. [Appearance]: With short black hair, tan skin, brown eyes, and a welcoming smile, Jaylee is someone who lights up the room. Usually found wearing an old t-shirt and jeans, she isn't one to be too particular about her appearance. She wears the occasional makeup but overall loves being her.

[Personality]: Jaylee loves to make friends and be around people. While she loves reading and is ahead her grade in math, she also attends social events and has plenty of friends. Her brother is her rock and she always goes to him when she is down.
Besides her brother, music is what helps her feel better. When she's down, she'll often go write a sad song for her guitar or play an especially loud and pounding piano piece.
[History]: More then her brother, Jaylee had trouble with the constant moving of their family. She wished he could get a job and stay in one place, but it simply didn't work out. She had friends every place she left, and she wrote more letters and emails than she really had time for.
She always tried to help her brother make friends, and dragged him along to countless parties and events he would rather have not attended. She wished he would make more friends, but people just simply didn't like him as much because of his quietness.
She was thrilled to be accepted into BLA with her brother, for more than one reason. She was excited to stop moving and stay with her friends for more than a year, and also excited to have intellectual peers. Everyone there would be smart, even the popular kids! She wouldn't have to struggle being classified as a "Nerd" who apparently weren't social, or a "Popular Kid," who apparently couldn't be smart.

Nerd is the best way to put it. Rodney wants to be right and is always correcting people. He needs to be surrounded by intellectual peers and constantly challenged, or he might just go insane.
Rude
Rodney isn't always the nicest person. He is polite around teachers and certain people, but otherwise he is generally insensitive. He doesn't always mean ill, but he comes across that way with his constant correcting and fake smiles.
Ambitious
Rodney wants to go on to do great things, and is sure he will. His main goal is to become the President of the United States of America, and is doing his best to go that way.

Rodney works hard in his classes and gets top grades, just as he expects of himself.

In the logic versus emotion personality types, Rodney is logical. He thinks of everything realistically and factually. He could become the president one day; he is following the right path to do that. Facts, right?
History: Rodney grew up an only child with high expectations, although his family didn't have much money because they were immigrants. He grew up mostly speaking Hindi, and as a result is very careful with his English. He went to public school, and his parents helped him with his homework after work. It wasn't the ideal setting, but he did his best to make it work.
He was displeased with how the public schools worked, shoving information at kids who weren't ready to process it yet because they hadn't been taught basic facts. If he becomes president, he plans to fix the education system.
After working hard through elementary, middle, and most of high school, he was ready for a change of pace. He applied for a scholarship to BLA, and was rewarded with one for his senior year of high school. He is sure this will help his plan to do great things.

She had an older sister who struggled with depression and was hospitalized for it, and became one of her closest friends afterwards. She also had a twin brother and younger brother, both who annoyed her immensely but were lovable all the same.
When the time came, her older sister applied to BLA but wasn't accepted. Later, her and her twin brother both applied but only Chloe was accepted. Her acception was bittersweet to those who didn't make it in, especially her sister who hid her true feelings but felt like Chloe was "better" than her. Chloe went to BLA anyway, and currently attends.
She is close with her mother and father and had trouble leaving to go to boarding school at fifteen, but went at their insistence she follow her dream.

Let's face it, Nalanie is a ball of energy. She's always doing something, whether it's sitting in class and fidgeting with a soft ball, running around the soccer field, or reading a book and laughing out at regular intervals.

Summary: Sweet, loyal, clingy, pushover, disorganized
Natalie is someone who gets very attached to people, and doesn't want to let them go. She'll do anything for you, whatever you ask, if you mean something to her. Sadly, this means she's also a pushover. She's not good at setting boundaries, and she takes most things personally.
She is intelligent, making it into the academy, but not a list person, and not very organized. She occasionally loses assignments, but is hard working enough to redo them, though not very hard working overall. Her standards lie in turning in every assignment and getting at least a B-.

History
Natalie had always been close to her sister. Her parents had always pushed them together, but she didn't mind. They spent hours together when they were young. Then, Summer went off to BLA and left Natalie behind, too young to attend. That was another thing their parents encouraged: going to a high-end school.
Natalie was crushed without her best friend, and spent weeks after moping. That was when she turned to photography. Her parents had sent her outdoors in the hopes it would cheer her up. She took a photo of a beautiful flower she saw, and realized she wanted to try more. She took photography courses and took countless photos of nature, animals, people, buildings, and anything else that caught her eye.
When she reached the age, Natalie eagerly applied for BLA and was ecstatic to be accepted. Sadly, she didn't see much of her sister because of their separate interests and grade levels, but she still has high hopes for renewing their old friendship.

She applied to BLA for eighth grade and was rejected, but applied again freshman year and was accepted. She was sad to leave her family, but promised to visit as often as she could (though she typically stays at the Academy one month out of the three months of summer to be with the band). She has now completed a full year at the Academy, and is enjoying it immensely.
