ARCHIVE Team Challenge: UNO 2017
>
Team Mark Watney

I didn't know about the catwoman story, though! That's amazing, lol. If it's anything like Throne of Glass it will be great.

I'm actually just about to start A Court of Bitter Oranges by Laura Florand. It came out today, and I'm really excited because I love that author so much.

Hiya Silje :)

This is my first time playing Uno, after getting addicted to team ..."
I've only been in three others, but Wobble was by far my favorite! I did the ATW challenge and an Olympic one, but both of them drove me crazy because of the slow pace.
Tuna was my hubs kitty before we got married, so I can't take credit for that one. His name is "Big Tuna" after someone in The Office I think?
Norbert was mine from before & named after the dragon in Harry Potter. We got Mac after we got married & I like to say Mac is short for "Kitty McKitterson", but my husband FIRMLY disagrees with that. :)

Hi Silje. I spied your name on one of the other teams. I can't believe you've deserted us :)

I haven't heard of Laura Florand but I just had a look at some of her books and they seem to get great reviews. I'll need to add one to my TBR.

I agree with Alison - you're on the wrong team Silje!

I was doing my daily scout around Amazon to see what bargains there are (am I the only one who does this?) and I spotted it was going cheap. I've seen some reviews but they seem to be either 1 star or 5 stars which makes me think it's a love or hate thing.

No, but it looks interesting! Let me know what you think of it if you read it.

I haven't read it and I've seen the mixed reviews on it. It sounds interesting though.

If I'm splashing out on a hardback it's book depository. For some reason YA books tend to be paperback in the UK so that's about the only place you can get them.

I'm Romina, just got assigned to the team, thanks for the welcome!
I'm 22, from Uruguay and a few months away from getting my degree in speech-language pathology and audiology(hopefully!!)
I enjoy all types of books, specially crime and murder novels. It's my first time participating in UNO so im really excited!
Looking forward to getting to know you all a little better!
I will check out the spreadsheets in a minute!

Question, in the tracking sheet we are putting the books we plan on reading in February right? And which cards they would work for?

Yes

Got anything exciting planned for your last weekend of freedom before Uno begins?

Yes!! I read a tweet about a girl I went to school with doing it and I looked into it. We're driving over 2 hours to the closest studio to try it out!!

Feel better soon Danielle!

Will definitely be interesting to see if I fall or break a bone tomorrow!

Danielle I hope you get better!
As for me I'm planning to finish the book I'm currently reading over the weekend!
I just want to say that during the first two weeks of February I won't be able to be extremely active because I have exams on the 13th and 16th. But after that I have nothing else to do! I will be reading of course just maybe not as much as I should! I will make up for it after the 16th!!

I just finished Traitor to the Throne a couple of hours ago (it was really good) but I managed to get a copy of Caraval yesterday so can't wait to start that. I don't usually read two fantasy books back to back but that's what I'm in the mood for.
What are you reading at the moment?

I'm currently reading The Killing Game, it's a thriller.. pretty interesting so far,I'm about 1/3rd through.. has some point of views and characters that I don't really care about but I'm hoping they will contribute more to the story!

I'm listening to the audio of Catching Fire at the moment so I suspect that will carry over. Audio books take me weeks to finish.

I have three books ready for UNO so I'm trying to hold off resting those until after the 1st! But I'm anxious to start!

I hope you get better Danielle! Rest and relax!
I'm probably going to start a book tonight. I need to take my mind off of our cat. He wasn't feeling well so I took him to the vet. He had an infection so it was easily treatable but then before I could pick him up, he had a stroke at the vets office. So now my weekend is going to be a long one of waiting to see what happens with him. The stroke was a random thing. Luckily, he was already at the vets.Anyway, that's probably what I am going to be doing this weekend.
On a more upbeat note, I don't know if any of you watch Supernatural but it finally came back on after a month. So now I can spend my Thursday nights watching it, lol.

Kyle, my favorite character is Crowley. I like Sam and Dean but Crowley's sarcasm is the best, lol. And for some reason he is the sanest one out of the bunch it seems like.

Hope he is doing better! Lucky that he was there when it happened at least!

I also created a study schedule for the exams so I will be more organized(hopefully) and be able to get a few hours of reading every day!

Question about the challenge, some of the books I plan on reading dont have the characters/location listed on their goodreads page, do they still count for the cards?

Poor wee soul. I'll keep everything crossed for him. It is tough when you're not with them but you know he's getting the best possible care.
