Wishing for Birds
I've been missing in action, I know! I'm dealing with thesis work, and ALSO I'm moving, so you may not see me around very often until late March.

I LOVE SLOW LIGHTNING. I hope you do, too.

I'm VERY excited about it! I'm reading it the week of March 19th in a "read together" with a friend. :)
Now that I actually look at it, I love your whole reading list. Millay's Collected Poems? The Sonnets to Orpheus? You have a great year ahead of you :-)

Oh man, thanks - that's always good validation to hear about the choices I've made. :)

The Blue Estuaries
Black Maria: Poems Produced and Directed by Kevin Young
Oh yay! I've been toying with the idea of reading a whole book by Louise Bogan for a very long time, but for some reason never have gotten around to it. I so admire her craft, her cadence, and her short poem "Several Voices Out of a Cloud" is a longtime favorite. I like the diversity of poetic styles on your reading list.

Also, Jenna, I will be reviewing Bogan here probably sometime in the summer. I'm lokoing forward to it - and thank you for the link to that poem, it's gorgeous.

I'm also actually way behind on writing reviews so you might see a sudden flurry of things by me.
New books to my list:
A Thousand Mornings (Hilariously, I read this right before I moved the 2nd time and never got around to writing the review and had to return it to the library. Whoops. I'll work my way back around to it).
I Am Not a War
The Ground I Stand on Is Not My Ground
Selected Poems

Hi Shona. I'm a lapsed admin so I'm not sure we've met. But it looks like you made a good crack at the goal this year, especially considering the challenges you faced. Hope to see you back in 2018.
